Pacing up and down.

I bet he's working so hard to get ot you he's not had chance to think about contacting you.

I am so glad my man only lived in liverpool...an hour commute between us in our good old going out days....

There are 111 people with his surname in his state. How am I supposed to find out which one of them is related to him? Especially when it costs about $50 to get hold of those white pages!

This is where you wish he had a reeeaally weird and unusual name isn't it?

can't you access the phone book online for free?
Just look up the surname and the state it'll list them all I think then there would be the bussiness of calling all those people. Depending on what realative it is you may even want to look for someone with the same first name or middle initial if it applies in case he was named for someone.

Which state?

Hey - we're here - we have access -

Let us help?

~Sarah

Thank you, you're all so sweet! PM me for details, if you want to help. I don't want to leave out his info to everyone, only to those who volunteer to help me.

I've called all around his hometown, no luck yet. Say, what does it mean when someone doesn't accept private calls? Is that like some equivalent to having an unlisted number?

Thanks to my lovely friends, I've managed to get hold of a list of phone numbers. I've been calling around, trying to track down his relatives, but apparently, his surname is rather common.:(

It's 1 am here, and I'm going to bed. The hunt will continue tomorrow, when I'll start calling hospitals, and try his job once again. Perhaps if I give them my number, instead of asking for his, they might be more willing to help me track down whoever he has listed as person-to-call-in-case-of-emergency?

*hugs Svenska* Oh how horrid for you! :( My sister works for a US airline (two of them, actually). If you'd like for me to see if she can help (assuming she either works for the right airline or knows someone who does), please PM me his info. If there's anything else I can do to help, let me know!

I've called half of all the hospitals in his area. Nothing yet - which I suppose is a good thing. One hospital admittance clerk woman was very confused by me calling, and asked where I was calling from.

"Sweden," I said.

"What?"

"Sweden."

"What state is that in?"

*paus*

"The COUNTRY of Sweden..?"

"Oh."

What I would like to find, is a helpful person living in France, who can help me check Parisian hospitals.

Any word yet? Svenskaflicka, your bloody horrible situation's been on my mind since last night when I read your post. I hope everything turns out okay very, very soon for you. If you need an Australian connection for any possible reason count me in. Any chance of more help from the embassy? Does he have a mobile phone provider who could tell you if his phone's been used in the last 48 hours? Good luck and best wishes.

Why, oh, why couldn't those bombers have hit CdG instead of New York???
They didn't need to do that. It's falling down of its own accord.

Fact. The wonderful eleven month old terminal 2E partly collapsed a few days ago.
Fact. The rest of 2E is still closed pending investigation.
Fact. CdG is absolute chaos ever since. He could have been put on the wrong plane and be in Senegal or Djibouti by now.

Ok, Svenska, just so you know it, "A few days ago" is May 23, according to MSNBC. So no, the roof didn't fall down on top of your man.

But otherwise, snooper's guess ain't half bad. De Gaulle is a bad joke at the moment. Or a worse one than usual.

Thank you, Liar. For some reason, snooper's post didn't ease my worry. *hysterical giggle*

Thank you, rain, you're very sweet. I don't think we can do much with Australian research at this moment, but the phone tip is a good one. I remember reading about someone being found that way. Only two problems: a) I don't know what phone company he uses, b) if he HAS managed to get to Paris, then his phone won't work. If I could get hold of one of his brothers, then maybe they could help me with a), and then... I don't know, perhaps we could check with the phone company to see when he used it last. If it was, say, right before he left on Saturday, then we can sort of narrow things down slightly.

So CdG is even worse of a mess than usual? My, my. That does give us a good idea of what has happened - but still, it's not like Hubby not to call me when he's 3 days late.:(

Flicka,

Probably not much comfort, but I called & checked with the outlying area hospitals for you. No one with that name has been admitted in the last three days to Keller, St. Lukes, Cornwall, Westchester Medical or Good Sam. Taht pretty much covers the outlying area's to the West of NYC in Rockland & Orange counties.

I was going to call a few others in Westchester, but at the moment, I have pretty much over taxed my people skills.

*HUGS*

Svenska, I've got no words of hope or comfort, but I just wanted to let you know I am thinking of you.

I have tons of phone numbers to call. The police told me this was a good thing, as it might help me find his relatives. I'm gonna have one helluva phone bill, though.
