Hubby called at 6am yesterday. I think he had forgotten about the timedifference.
Still, I was thrilled to hear his voice, and I was getting up in half an hour anyway, so we chatted for a whie, then I got ready for work, and headed for the bus.
I was supposed to work from 10am to 7pm, but 2 hours before I was done for the day, I was asked if I'd like to take the evening shift and work to 9pm? "Sure!" I said, coz I want more hours and more money. I stayed, worked, and worked hard, and then, 5 minutes before I was going home, I had a call... from a woman who was about to buy her first computer, and now wanted to know what broadband is, what a modem does, what prizes we had, our regulations regarding our different phone services, etc, etc. It took me 37 minutes. I missed my bus. I missed the only other person who could have given me a ride home in her car. The next bus didn't go until midnight.
Now, I don't know if you've ever been to the north of Sweden, btu I can tell you one thing - there's not many places open after 10 pm on a weekday! I went from restaurant to restaurant, only to hear "we're closing" or "our restaurant section is closed, only the bar is open", and so I ended up at old faithful McDonalds. They closed at 11pm. Fortunately, when I told them my sad tale, they took pity on me and let me sit there while they cleaned up, and they didn't throw me out until they were getting ready to turn off the lights and lock up.
By then, it was 20 minutes to midnight, and I waited the reminder of the time at the bus station, which is NOT a place you want to be at night - especially not in this town.
When I got back to my own town, I took a cab home, I was way too tired to walk. I could barely drag myself up the stairs! I got home at 0.45, and got a good nights sleep before the alarm clock went off at 5.30 this morning, telling me to hurry or I'd be late for work which started at 8am...
Night, all. I'm gonna fall into a coma now. Thank goodness I get to sleep in tomorrow...
