Overheard...

The other day I was sitting in the public library with my SO we were looking for some light reading material and had taken a seat at one of the many tables in order to peruse the materials before checking them out. When we notice a group of old men all sitting around, drinking coffee and chatting about this, that and the other. Well my SO and I are notorious people watchers and enjoy eavesdropping on unsuspecting peoples conversations (I know horrible habit but damn is it fun). So anyway, we tune in to the geriatric conventions conversation and we overhear this.

Old Man 1: "Is it against the law to hire someone to kill your wife?"
Old Man 2: "Hell yes it is!"
Old Man 1: "What if they don't go through with it?"
Old Man 3: "Still conspiracy to commit murder."

A brief pause ensued before Old Man 1 excused himself to go make a phone call. My SO and I laughed for a good 20 minutes after leaving the library.

So tell me, have you overheard anything that had you in stitches? If so please share, I always love to hear the crazy shit people say when they think no one is listening.

I once heard a librarian fart . . . it probably doesn't count as being overheard, necessarily, but it was funny nonetheless.

well, in the changing cubicle of New look today I heard a conversation which was interesting...

"Well I'm tempted to give it another go you know."

"Yeah, I would too, but well, it's too much hard work."

"maybe in a couple of years when *name* is in school."

"Yeah. I think it's cruel to have only one kid."





Oh, I think i just fancy another go at motherhood now...or were they refering to the conception part?
