Over-Editing

If I have to review it more than twice, I would just throw it out (which rarely happens). The first round of review might help clarify it and add elements that make it better, but after that it just an exercise of squeezing the life out of it. Also, in contrast apparently to others, I augment text in reviews rather than trim it.

For me personally? Just fine. I'm financially cushioned--doubly so, as I have plenty of assets off shore. The Republicans always bolster my financial position.

Concerning my social conscious? Not well at all. We lost a hard-working representative who worked very close to his constituents to a Republican known for raising taxes for all but the rich (which works in my personal favor) and still being in bed with big oil companies. Mostly what I miss was some hint of common sense in the electorate. I keep thinking of the Messiah chorus "All We Like Sheep."

But I'll weather it just fine and have no need to discuss it on a porn board. I actually write for Lit., so I don't have to come up with irrelevant topics to try to get attention with. ;)

I am having the same problem now -- or foresee it coming on down the line. For one, my usual editor is in the process of getting hitched so I can't send it to him for another week, but I've already written the chapter AND the one after. And who knows how long till I get done?

I'm just saying, I feel your pain. And I wanna thank all the people who made thoughtful posts here, Stella, bronzeage, soflabb, Harold, GinaTina, and JamesB.
