"Microsoft to outsource general legal work to India"

Publicity of this radical idea ought to start causing a reaction American Bar Association. If we can outsource legal services and save money, how long before we just move the legal system to Hyderbad?

Then with all the lawyers out of work, they will have to move to politics, or *gasp* find a real job.

Well, yeah, let US Police work be done by Chinese. They will use smaller cars, which is a punishment for everybody who will be arrested.

I can just see it now as the judge shakes his head in disbelief at the brief he's reading making no sense what so ever.

It wont be too long before Bill Gates and the rest are sent on their way to India and China BUT! India wont give them a visa to work there.

For quite a while now, Microsoft have been feeling the pinch. Trouble with their 'phone thingy, bad market strategy and so on have left them behind in the techno race. It should therefore come as no surprise that they will have to seek ways of reducing their overheads, and getting shot of loads of lawyers might just be the right start.

All we need now is a reliable and cheap operating system for PCs.

We have that. The problem is, we have too many, meaning no single competitor is getting a broad enough user base to take off.

In my humble opinion, the legal field consists of many people spending time thinking, considering, arguing, looking for “the spin.” Why not? Seriously, why not pay for all those hours at a lower rate? I worked for a while in NYC at a law firm, it was the ‘80s and even then they were charging hundreds of dollars an hour for legal representation.

As a taxpayer, I think the US should also outsource to India, the legal effort against Microsoft. And the next impeachment for that matter, if the griping does come to that.

What if we outsourced the Senate?

I mean we're paying the freight, perhaps if the Senate was, in effect, the Servant of the people, we might get some reform?

I'll bet we could employ half of Haiti in a fair approximation of the actual progress of this Congress.:D

Bill Gates needs Indian lawyers.

He needs Chinese lawyers, even more. If anyone is likely to be ripping off Microsoft, it's going to be an Indian or Chinese software engineer.

They will have plenty of work, without being a threat to the American Bar Association.
