Is it is because the American people don't wine and dine them that they vote against the majority vote? Or is it just a privileged few?

Example: Our county is wet(pro alcohol) but the city fathers manage to block every avenue to legalize alcohol within the city limits!

Now how is that if the majority vote is for legalizing alcohol in the city, but the city is still dry? Which privileged ones are pulling the strings? For what gain?

Right now you can buy more illegal drugs in the city, but alcohol is illegal to buy!

WTF?

Because the CIA is importing and selling the drugs themselves. The US gov't is playing both sides down the middle.

Amen to that Spinaroonie!

Let's dole out money to keep drugs out of the US, but under the table lets finance a third world country's coup and bring drug and drug money in the US.

Shit we can't even feed the homeless, educate our kids properly, have a decent medical and dential for all Americans!

What a great country we live in! It's the American way of life.

It's because Americans actually caused the cataclysm that killed off the dinosaurs. We're also responsible for the whole moon crater business. Additionally, we singlehandedly created and spread diseases and pestilence. Why, if it weren't for us, the Spanish Reformation would never have happened. Ivan the Terrible was American. So was Rasputin, Atilla the Hun, Satan, and Nero. The snake that gave Eve the apple was actually an American.

Just ask p_p_man and redwave, they'll tell ya.

I've been reading too many p_p_wave posts.

Lemme guess Killer, it's cause they didn't want alcohol near the cave dwellings! But they still drank!

{a bit more sarcasm}

Uh, pardon me, Miss KM, ma'am, you lusciously delectable doll, but I think you forgot the global warming on Mars. Aren't we responsible for that, too?

While it is true that Chairface Chippendale was within our country, he was actually english, so that doesn't count.

YOu actually wouldn't believe how much money is in drug enforcement too.

Both sides against the middle.

The town is over 20,000 and in the bible belt in north central Texas! Go figure!

We are also responsible for the asteroid belt where the two planets should be in our solar system! {still being sarcastic}

Ahhhh Weatherford.

Really wasn't my area.

Could be wrose tho', could be Knox Country and have to go a ways before you can buy.

Re: Our representatives, just who do they represent?

Easy question...even easier answer

The lobbyists of course!

Here in Indiana the whole state is dry on Sundays! I did spend some time in Greenville Texas when I was in the military and at that time the whole county was dry but you could still go to bars if you paid a membership fee or some crap. I'm sure that fee was some kind of "forced tax."

no idea who they represent, but it sure as hell aint us :)

the only leaves "themselves" as an answer.

Oh and don;t worry, it is a world wide thing... the US are not the only lucky ones in this :)

Big campaign contributors, PACs, and special interest groups of course...

What are you? Some kind of communist? :p

What??? A commie pinko fag?? NO WAY! It just pisses me off that I live in a country that holds the value of religion over having a good time in my own fucking home!

I fought for my country in two wars, was spat upon , called a baby killer(when I didn't even see babys on the battle field), called a war monger and a militant soldier!

It's a shame I have to drive 20 miles to get a beer, much less a mixed drink!

The fucking prudish bible beating baptist, who have a shit load of money and want everyone to do as they say not as they do have a lot to do with it! Least wise around here!

OK I ranted! I feel Better!

And WORM that was a real long time ago! I remember! You're showing your age!:D
