Have you tried running Word through WINE on your Linux box?

Actually I have and it works fairly well with my old copy of Office 2000. It would probably be better since i could dump windblows and the couple of games I'm addicted too.

I find it's best to combine my use of Word with wine.

I use beer. Wine, yuke! *noises of me spitting out wine*

I've taken the plunge and installed Linux (Ubuntu) on my laptop. I did duel boot so that I can run windows if I need to. Now I'm getting everything set up to run. I'm on Linux as I type this and I like the way it works better than Windows 8.1.
