lol, well it's really no big deal. I just liked that pizza, it was one of the rare pizza places where you could get a good flaky crust.

as I remember it was ho hum pizza.... but to each his own.... I would take a Flyin Pie pizza anyday.... and in fact, I did that just today......

PIZZA? PIZZA? LOL so where were you guys when I was there looking for some place to eat.....I did have dinner one night at a place called Benneties....(spelling?) It was pretty good, although I had about 3 glasses of wine waiting to get seated, so maybe my judgement was clouded about dinner. LOL

it would be Benetti's.....

and the food there is quite good for a Coos Bay establishment....

of course that might have something to do with the fact that Joe started it better than 20 years ago and is a true Italian as well as a helluva nice guy.....

I know it well......

You know, I'd actually tend to believe you that Pizza Rays really wasn't that good unless you have been raised on it. I had a conversation last month (more of a rant, really) about how White Castle slyders and Whataburger are both examples of food that are only good to the people who grew up with it. White Castle is an eastern establishment that makes this little tiny wads of grease, but people in the east love 'em.
Whataburger is a southern thing, when I was down in Texas everybody swore that they were the best burgers anywhere... I went there once and was very impressed that they somehow managed to serve me not only the greasiest but the driest burger I ever ate. Amazing.
Then there's Philadelphia people with their Geno's cheesesteaks...
So, you're probably right about pizza rays, to each his/her own indeed. I guess I've had my last one, lol.

yes.... it does become a regional/state/coast/undefined area almost "culteral" type of thing some times..... and people seem to keep going even when the food is questionable or worse. I grew up surrounded by White Castles.... and being from Philly and having survived the Surekill Expressway...... I am very familier witth the cheesesteaks and the east coast hoagies.....

but back then I couldn't tell you a thing about hot sauces..... so part of what becomes our own is based on where we go and what experiences we share with others....oh shit... I just realized I am talking about life.....

lol

Most of our everyday eating is tied to us by culture and our life experiences......my background is very much tied to food and has had a major impact on my life today.....maybe not always the positive inflence I desire...but certain tastes and smells trigger memories.....certain foods are comfort foods, each of us has those. Even certain restaurants can trigger emotional resposes dictated by shared memories of visits with friends.:rose:

Holy Shit.... almost a whole page of posts and not one mention of sex....
and the posts are longer than one line (or one word) to boot....

I am just a moribund dyslectic jerk.... and I just remember talking about pizza and cheesesteaks.... but as I never eat in bed I can't see how I could get crumbs on your "ample" breasts.... and if that is you in the AV.... I would call them smaller than ample....

OK so here I am with this left over grilled chicken breast which I cut up and put on some greens with sweet orange and yellow peppers and a couple of hard boiled eggs. I am using a dill dressing, but I was hoping for something with a little more pizzaz in the dressing. LOL:(
