Hello
I was wondering if the process of ordering chapters in a series is automatic or not, and if it's possibly sorted alphabetically or manually and if it's possible to fix it without changing the chapter's title, this is how it currently looks and the problem should be rather obvious:daddddccc.png

I'm just worried that some readers might get confused by this and open a very spoilery chapter
Thanks.

It's an automatic compilation process, sorting in alpha numeric order.

Resubmit your epilogue with the same title as current plus the word EDIT. Include a Note to the Editor asking for a title change to "Welldark B1 Epilogue".

Omitting the dash will resolve the sequencing. Problem is edits are low priority, can take a week or so.

In the meantime you'll have to trust the intelligence of your readers - and if they're too dumb to figure it out, do you really want them as readers?

However, I think readers are (mostly) clever.

Happened to me. I alerted the admins in the unpublished message area of the next episode, and it was fixed.

That would've also been possible but this is the Epilogue and the next book is a while away so I submitted an edit request.
Thank you both

Normally when there is confusion I go by the dates, though even that isn't foolproof but, in your case, titling your Epilogue 'Just the Start' is going to confuse the heck out of most readers. Best advice, call your Epilogue, Ch. 11 Epilogue.

Just to extend on this, I believe it is an alphanumeric, but not naturalised, sort.
That is, the sorting order per character, is by character code, rather than what a human might expect.

So things like
Code:
a > A == true
hold, which might be... Odd, if you're not used to that kind of thing.

Don't know about that, but that's academic - all titles are capitalised major words, so lower case is irrelevant for the main sort.
