US Armed Forces around the holidays........but after 9/11
the letter writing has been suspended indefinitely.

However there is the option for sending an electronic
message to anyone in the military....

Actually Jenz, i just did spread the word. I have a friend that does a radio show here in Milwaukee from 12am-6am (milwaukee time) and i emailed him after i posted and i just heard him announce that he had a link to share and he told whoever was listening to email him for the link.
I as well did a "Happy holidays" with a brief Thank you to all the branches.

What a great idea!!

I have a friend in the Marines stationed in California. He has been waiting for awhile now for orders on whether he goes over seas or not. I know that he and all the other service men and women will be more then happy to hear from us! Families are meant to be together during the Holiday season and so many of them are almost a world apart. I couldn't imagine being that far away from my family this time of the year.

Last year I sent him a box full of goodies to share with the other Marines there on base. I didn't try this year cause we have been having mail problems. His card for my birthday was lost and my card to him was lost. So it is kind of a no win situation right now.

Well I have rambled on enough. Take care all!

Oh yes they have been having mail problems.....so which is why
this electronic message idea was instituted!

I have both a son in the Army and a daughter in the Air Force..

They both will be home for Christmas this year...

When I was in the service nobody cared execpt for my family...
