Operation Dear Abby for quite a number of years had a letter
writing campaign around the holiday season, which we could
send letters to anyone serving in the US military. However,
after 9/11, the letter writing campaign has been suspended,
and now there is the option of sending an electronic message
to any member of the Armed Forces.
