Christmas?! It's November! :)

Greetings all! Spent a nice morning in the mountains but I'm glad I'm back in the valley this afternoon; it looks like a storm is settling in for a good, hard snow (I hope!). I'm in the mood for hot chocolate and popcorn, anyone else want to join me by the fire?

Hi McKenna.....sounds like a good day for the mountains too....

i can join you by the fire ....

Sneaks into the kitchen of the Cafe. I must write a belated note of sorry for not producing a menu for Saturday... Club dancing is not an excuse!

I busily get to work by making myself zip around the spotless kitchen.

Monday's Menu:

Appetizer:

Veggie platter with Blue Moon's special dipping sauces. (I can not devulge the ingredients)

Spinach and Artichoke dip served piping hot with plenty of tortilla chips to fill the tummy.

Entrees:

Pesto Rice and Beans An ample serving of spicey coleslaw on the side as well.

Northern beans, vegetable broth, long-grain white rice, fresh cut green beans, pesto sauce, and parmesan cheese. Coleslaw: red cabbage, jalapeno chili, seeded and minced, balsamic vinegar, sugar, and a small apple diced.

Meatless Stuffed Peppers w/ Watercress Salad and Cheese toasts

bell pepper, onion, brown rice, chopped mushrooms, red beans, chili powder, diced tomatoes, parsley, and parmesan cheese. Salads contain feta cheese, endive, grapes, dried majoram, slivered almonds, lemon juice and honey

Also, Western Omelets, Hash Browns, and Steamed Green Beans

** A favourite of the Blue moon Cafe Patrons!

Desserts:

Pear Crunch

pineapple and its juice, dried cranberries, tapioca, vanilla extract, cored pears, and granola with almonds

Decadent Chocolate Delight

sour cream, chocolate chips, water, eggs, chocolate pudding and chocolate cake mix. Stirred together and baked till crust forms. Served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.. to die for!

pouring an afternoon coffee for myself i clean up in the kitchen, behind the bar and then wipe down each table. Grabbing some extra cloths i start to clean the windows down....

Upon hearing movement in the main part of the Cafe... I stop what I am doing and venture out into sparsely lit dining room.

"Henry, is that you?"

Hugggs Alex...Yep its me.....Hows things going for you?

McKenna i would be happy to do some cleaning for you....have been known to do it semi naked some of the time too. most females prefer me to do it that way *blushes*....

My days going well so far thanks....Hope your day and evening is going well?

:smiling: with a light step added to my walk as I give Henry a tight hug.

"So, good to see you"

Turning slightly I give a wave to McKenna.. "Alex, please. And thank you for the compliment. I am not a vegetarian by rule, but I do enjoy meatless dishes."

SiS.......... :blowing her a kiss: I'll be sure and drop by to give you the recipe!

How is everyone this fine evening?

Alex always good to see you...

doing well thanks....Hows the week ahead looking for you?

Well, a giddy smile.. how does a 4 day week sound? LoL...I love them! Other than that, I am hoping for smooth sailing.

How about yours?

How was your weekend? (And thank you for the card!!! Q was acting haywire and wouldn't let me write anything.)

McKenna that does sound a good idea for a thread....i would be happy to play the male cleaner or something similar....

Alex that does indeed sound a great week...hoping the week will be a quiet one just like my weekend....:) My pleasure for that sweetie...

Pumpkin cheesecake shall grace the menu tomorrow eve... Suggestions are always wanted and welcome!

It is time for me to bid everyone a wonderful evening..or in some cases a wonderful day.

:kisses: for everyone....

Hugggs Alex  Night and sleep sweetly....

Also time i left for a few hours too, so everyone have a great night and take care....

Opens the doors of the cafe and enters quietly and heads for the coffee pot. Pours a cuppa and slowly walks over to a booth to sit.

Enters, tidies up behind the bar and around each table and chair. Goes back to cleaning the windows before adjusting the front signs a little....

Pouring my evening coffee i put fresh coffee on to brew as well as tea...Checking on the pastries they smell so great i find them hard to resist....

Checking on everything i tidy up more and put some music on via the jukebox. looking around the cafe i wonder where everyone is...

How nice it is to come in here
after such a busy Sunday night
and find everything spic and span.
(Where did that phrase come from?
Hopefully not the cleaner)

Sorry I missed all of you,
but thanks for stopping by.
It's beginning to have the feel
of a real meeting place,
and that feels good.

And, Alex,
there you go again with
the "Oh MY God" menu.
Thank you, thank you, thank you . . .
Goodness runs in the family, doesn't it?

See you all later, I hope.

Enters, pours a coffee for myself and goes about my usual morning routine of checking on everything..

Anybody have any jokes to share?

Two vultures board an airplane, each carrying two dead raccoons. The stewardess looks at them and says, "I'm sorry, gentlemen, only one carrion allowed per passenger."

I'm sorry, my brother sent me these, and I just have to pass them along. Now I feel like I need a stiff drink. :D

Hiya TOG....good joke there...wish i knew some but i don't...

Can serve up almost anything here, what would you like?

Well, my fallback postition is always a frozen margarita.
So let's go with that.

Two boll weevils grew up in South Carolina. One went to Hollywood and became a famous actor. The other stayed behind in the cotton fields and never amounted to much. The second one, naturally, became known as the lesser of two weevils.

Sorry. I'm really sorry. I can't help myself.
