Serves a frozen margarita to TOG...another good one...

lol will have to see if i can find my joke book floating around the house somewhere...they could be a little on the risque side though...

Quietly enters to not disturb anyone. I head off to the kitchen in preparation of Tuesday's Menu.

putting on my Kiss The Cook apron :smiling: although I wear clothes being that it is chilly outside tonight.

:chop chop:

....and the evening carries on...

Watches Alex enter and follows her enter into the kitchen....smells the food cooking and smiles....Gives her a hug and ....can't resist with you wearing that apron lol....good to see you...

Smiling happily!

Henry, was my chopping disturbing you?

I have planned a simply delish menu for tomorrow! I just hope no one is unhappy with the dishes I have made so far. Plus, I am hoping McKenna enjoys the Pumpkin Cheesecake Tarts I am going to make on her behalf.

Alex your chopping was a welcome attraction *grins*

i have loved all of your dishes so far....:rose:

Tart? Did someone say there was a tart in the kitchen?

((((((((((Alex)))))))))))) Hi, Henry.
'scuse me for barging in,
but I couldn't resist kissing the cook.
Giving Alex a sweet kiss, I think I startled her.

As usual it smells scrumptious in here.
Hope my jokes didn't stink things up too badly.

LoL....two sexy mean in the kitchen with a tart! Oh my!!

:tickling TOG:

The jokes were funny. I love silly ones like that and for a change, innocent ones are always liked.

Thank you for the compliment Henry.... :two pink spots on my cheeks:

And thank you for the kiss TOG... you did startle me!

Now...shoo both of you..I am going to present the menu to you shortly.

Hiya TOG...hope your days been a good one..

My pleasure Alex  for each cheek...

lol i will leave you alone for awhile...

btw , i still wish to write with you sometime too ;)

Well! ::::::mock hurt::::::::
I've been thrown outta the kitchen before.

Here's a food joke (sort of) for you:

Two Eskimos sitting in a kayak were chilly, but when they lit a fire in the craft, it sank, proving once again that you can't have your kayak and heat it, too.

OK OK I'm going.

Tuesday's Menu

Blowing a curl off my face so I can be taken seriously!

The menu:

~ Appetizers

*Broccoli Cheese Dip - served with crackers and snack breads

*Roasted Pepper and Artichoke Spread - served with fresh cut-up veggies, snack bread slices, and crackers

(paremsan cheese, cream cheese, minced garlic, artichoke hearts, roasted red bell peppers, dijon mustard, and mayo)

~ Main Courses

* Florentine Roll-Ups

(lasagna, ricotta cheese, shredded cheddar, fresh steamed spinach, sliced green onion, eggs, black pepper, and freshly prepared tomato sauce)

*Garlic Shrimp Noodle Toss

( egg noodles, olive oil, medium shrimp peeled and deveined, parmesan cheese, seasonings)

****TOG, I can always nix the shrimp..I didn't know if I this is a strict Veggie menu or if I could throw in fish occasionally.

~ Desserts

* Pumpkin Cheesecake Tarts

( crushed gingersnaps, butter, cream cheese, fresh pumpkin, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla extract, eggs, sour cream, and semi-sweet chocolate morsels (optional) )

* Key Lime Pie
( graham cracker crumb crust, sweet condensed milk, fresh lime juice, grated lime peel, whipped cream, lime peel twists)

Does it all sound agreeable? :eyelashes fluttering:

As always, Alex, it sounds heavenly.

A vegetarian won't eat fish,
but sometimes those people who
are trying to cut down on meat
will do fish, so why don't we leave it in
to help bridge the gap between the
vegetarians and the committed carnivores.

You really have quite a way with food.
You don't mind if I show up
at your doorstep one day, do you?

I gained 5 pounds just reading your menu Lay Z Butterfly.:nana: *ggls*

It all sound delicious.

Count me in.

~V:rose:

:smiling: Why thank you TOG... I really do take pride in my cooking. Plus, not being a complete vegetarian (I do love my burgers and everything fishy!!!) I wasn't sure. Thanks for letting the shrimp stay. I'll try to keep it strict veggie from now on :)

:twinkly eyes: Door is always open! Only...I don't serve more than one entree a night! I need to stay slim and trim! LMAO... how else would I be able to run 5-10 miles a day?!?!?!?!

Hi MzVickie....How are you doing? Can i get you something to drink?

Happy Smile! Love the nana :)

And call me Alex :)

::counting MzVickie in:::

And good evening, MzV.
Isn't the food incredible?
Always nice to see you
stop back in.
And Henry is quite a mixologist
and all-around conversationalist,
not to mention the therapy practice
he runs on the side.

*smiles* Thanks.....need to work out a story of sorts for us both then.....Have been trying to come up with some ideas of late but nothing as yet.....I miss my writing and Michelle knows that too...

Alex,
how COULD you be
wanting buttered popcorn
with all this yummy food around? :p

LoL..the honest truth....? Well, just because popcorn is simple. Each menu I have given to the Cafe are things that take time, hence a lot of weekend cooking. I am not a fast food gal and I take my time cooking meals. I am not cleaning my kitchen to nearly 7pm each night! Besides....popcorn rocks! :p~~

Sadly we're in the habit
of eating dinner around 9 or 10pm.
Very bad for the digestion,
going to bed on a full stomach.
But getting home from work as late as we do,
it's hard to get everyone fed early.

That's why it's so
nice to have your snacks so handy.

And, yes, popcorn rocks. :D

::Munching a pumpkin cheescake tart:: Alex, you are a whiz!

Greetings to all! I woke up to snow this morning, but it has since melted. :( I'm supposed to be working on posts, but darn if I'm not procrastinating -and that is sooo unlike me.

I guess everyone has their "off" days, no?

:raising my hand: Oh yeah, plenty of off days!

**happy smile** Glad you like!

Bad, bad, bad...and I rarely eat after 7pm. Unless, popcorn calls my name!

But you can't help what is beyond your control. Is it possible for you to use a crock pot? I love mine. I come home and dinner is ready! It just requires lots of prep time the evening before. :)
