Rep. Ann Wagner (R-Mo.)

"Women must report their rape to police in order to meet an exception to the 20 week abortion restriction."

God/god wills it, that the poverty stricken slut must die of a medical condition related to her pregnancy ?

No abortions after 20 weeks! No exceptions ?

If you were raped, you must have evidence and legal proof ?

Incest ?

Washington Post reports that House Republicans have canceled the vote on Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which had been scheduled for January 22.

January 22, 2015

After they were forced to scrap plans for a 20-week abortion ban, House Republican leaders decided late last night to instead ram through a vote today on a different extreme anti-abortion bill.

Thee House Republican leaders made a late-night maneuver to withdraw the 20-week ban from a vote, and to replace it with a vote on H.R. 7, an abortion coverage bill that would prevent women from spending their own money to purchase health insurance that covers abortion care on the Affordable Care Act insurance exchanges. This bill purports to prevent taxpayer funding of abortion, but in actuality it would prevents people from buying health insurance they want by withholding tax credits for purchases of such plans. H.R. 7 is also being fought vigorously by women’s rights groups.

Rep. Renee Ellmers-

"On Thursday morning, Ellmers told reporters that the conflict over the legislation was “unfortunate,” but stood behind her initial critiques regarding the bill. She said that while she supports banning abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy, she still thinks Republicans should tweak the rape exception so that victims of sexual assault are not required to report to law enforcement officials. She acknowledged that the first time she voted for the legislation, she didn’t realize the rape exception was written that way."

If the Constitution cannot protect a woman from being raped by a wand in a medical clinic , what does it protect her from ?

Oh, yeah, this country's government said yes to abduction and torture.

Private prisons need pregnant women to push their profits higher.

I think we should follow Barbara Boxers lead, women should be able to kill their babies any time before they actually get them home.

Sometimes I think we should bump it up to 18. This bitch breaks my shit on purpose and laughs at me. You have to grab /everything/. Anything from the doorknobs down she will fucking destroy. I keep thinking that she'll get /less/ evil but we haven't even hit the terrible twos yet. And as far as I know she isn't even the most evil baby. She never murdered and devoured her own sibling in utero.

I enjoyed reading news reports today about the right wing going bat shit crazy. It was extremely interesting how the Republican women legislators were being vilified. The war on women continues, sponsored by the GOP.

Speaking as a Republican, I'm embarrassed that anyone in my party introduced this piece of shit bill for consideration....also, apologies to the rest of the country for the idiocy of these fascists. This is not worthy of the party of Everett Dirksen, Robert Taft, and Barry Goldwater. The GOP has been hijacked by the religious right, at least in some areas. I want my party back.

Some of us were wishing that there would not be any exceptions because it was going to be 20 weeks — no abortions after 20 weeks — when the evidence is clear those babies feel.”

“But there was an exception put on there that unless there was a case of reported rape — reported to authorities,” Gohmert continued. “Well, that became the dividing factor among some of our female members of the House, Republican female members. But some were adamant they didn’t want any exceptions, some were saying, no, we [should] not require it be reported to authorities.”

"...because there was such division among our Republican females, they pulled the bill that day […] And that was extremely unfortunate, and it sent the entirely wrong message.”

-Louie Gohmert

You know what sends the wrong message and really hacks us off? When Our Republican Females just flat out refuse to do what they’re supposed to do, which is to shut the hell up and vote to pass every single anti-choice bill the way Jesus ordered them to in the Constitution. It is so anger-making when Our Females start having independent thoughts about how the party is perceived, or how perhaps voters have nuanced views about rape and abortion, or how ladies mostly hate it when rape gets mansplained to them. Our Females are never supposed to have thoughts like that, especially about issues like abortion and rape, which do not even affect them at all!

One way to avoid the problem of Our Females thinking they have some leverage over bills they cosponsor would be to just introduce anti-choice bills so odious that not even Our (let’s face it: very, very conservative) Females would want to sign on.

Do you ever look at an individual on Death Row and think it's just a really, really late term, post natal abortion waiting to happen?

I was recently thinking about my stillbirth that I went through in 1982. I was 5 months along, things seemed to be going well, and then one day, I started bleeding and saw stars. I made it home after work. I remember thinking I was being a wuss. It was when I started hemorrhaging that I called 911. Once I was in the ER, the bleeding couldn't be stopped. I was terrified. All I knew was that if I had a choice between living, I would choose life. After delivering a 5-pound clot, I delivered a dead son. As I held him, I disassociated from my body. It took me a while to figure out who the woman was that was wailing and sobbing hysterically.

There are a few points to this story. First, politicians should not be legislating women's reproductive health. Most women who choose to abort late-term do it for medical reasons and there aren't that many women who do this. Second, I am sick and tired of the GOP using women's reproduction as their main family values issue. And I am more than sick and tired of women thinking these GOP men have their best interests at heart.

Yet abortion remains legal and available. What did I miss? From what I know of you, you pounce upon any opportunity for righteous indignation. What pisses me off are all the Democrat pedophiles teaching kids in public schools. WHERE SELDOM IS HEARD A DISCOURAGING WORD AND THE SKIES ARE NOT CLOUDY ALL DAY.

It's my understanding that pedophilia is equal opportunity.

I pounce on any opportunity for righteous indignation? Really. Well, we can't have that now, can we? Those damn women and their damn reproduction issues. How dare they have an opinion. Much less state their experiences. That's what the GOP is for.

Pouncing is one of my specialities. :cattail: (That was my Latin accent, by the way. I want to join the CIA like Pilot, so I'm practicing my spycraft.)

:) Maybe you could incorporate this into your latest story. :)

Fine idea, actually. I hadn't thought of it. In order to cripple the pornographic movie industry, we could pass a law requiring all intimate activities be recorded and posted for the neighbors to view.

I speak for the whole GOP when I say NO ONE WANTS TO DENY YOU AN ABORTION. WE JUST DONT WANNA PAY FOR IT. Its no different than you going out and getting shit faced, we don't wanna pay for it neither. We're stingy NOT insensitive to a girl and her vices.

The GOP wants to decide if, when, how, where, and why women get abortions. You think it's about women wanting others to pay for their abortions. That must be why so many clinics have closed down.

Planned Parenthood still thrives.

I'm all for abortions, when I learned that blacks get most of the abortions I was sold.

I cant believe any GOP man gives a warm shit about abortions. Its not something we discuss. Its a myth Democrat Crazies obsess over.

It appears Gohmert doesn't fit into your GOP world view. Since you speak for the GOP, you should bring him up to date.

I have NO PROBLEM with women getting abortions

I just want EM killed along with the baby

Questionable. We fags get a lot of hate in the name of 'family' too.

Also... that whole story is fucked up. I'm so sorry. I feel like I should ask if you're ok, but then I worry that that's condescending, so I'm just going to ramble awkwardly until I can figure out how to stop typing and hope that you get the gist of the emotional support that I'm trying to convey.
