"161,000 brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, grandparents lost," said the vice president.

But as Reuters reported in 2011, the death toll was in fact 161:

The fact Biden was selected to give the ticket the appearance of gravitas, and it turned out he actually had more gravitas, is funny. The fact the country reelected that ticket is not funny.
