No, not what you think, pervs.

I've got some weird infection in my left hand, making it impossible to use without the feeling that someone is stabbing me in the thumb with a nuclear warhead.

And I'm a southpaw, so that realy sucks. It's amazing how hard it is to do anything properly with that "wrong" hand. I tried cooking some taters, and it took me ten seconds to realize that I was turning the knob on the stove the wrong way. And manuevering the remote to the tv...pure rocket science.

Typing goes ok though. Slow, but ok.

No, there is no real point to this thread. I just felt like starting one and whine a little. Anyone have some spare morphine?

I symphatize with you, you have no idea how!! Once in while I lose the use of my right hand and wrist and it's hell.

Can't spare any morphine but I have some codeine. :D

Know what you mean. I've got tendonitis in my left thumb.

Fellow southpaw,

Liar,

No morphene, but if you take 1 asprin and one tylenol/ibuprofin you might get some relief. the two work on different pain paths and sometimes pain from an infection is functioning on both. So neither would give you real relief while both in concert might.

*HUGS*

You've seen a doctor?

And hopefully you're heavily medicated with antibiotics?

   to help make it better

I can well empathize with you, much along the lines of Lady Cibelle.
Everyone here has been most tolerable about my typing. Much of the problem (beyond I never could spell) is that after my strokes I lost almost all feeling and much of the coordination on my entire left side.
Some of it is back, but coordination is a thing of the past. If you are a typist then you know that much of what you do is done or controlled by the left hand. When it moves according to it's own methods, it can make typing something that is readable a real pain.
Good luck with the infection

I know what you mean - I once had my right hand in a cast and I learned to write pretty well with my left hand, but I never could break myself of dropping my keys and change into my right pocket, and because of the cast I couldn't get my hand in the pocket to get them out. Try digging change out of your right pocket with your left hand...

now, THAT, would be a perfect ploy for pick up.

"Excuse me, would you mind getting the change out of my pocket? I can't seem to reach it."

ofcourse you would have to fight that lascivious grin.

Uh..yah. I'be been fed shots and pills, and properly wrapped up. The problem was i was out in the middle of nowhere when I had a rendez-vous with a kitchen knife so I couldn't clean the cut properly until I got back home yesterday, and then straight to the doctor.

   to help make it better
No, not any better. More is the key...yeah I need much more of that. Ought to do it. :D

Might depend on who is doing the licking?

My dog, one, then she just chews it.

Me infinite.
