For those who've written for the "loving wives" category, doy you feel that it is a challenge, or a category you'd suggest staying away from is best? It's just that I read about how some readers love to bash the category, and I had an idea for a story there. :rose:

If you don't like bashing, you might want to avoid it. There's a long-standing war between those who interpret "loving wives" as "tender sweet wives who love their husbands" and those who interpret it as "wives who 'love' the neighbours, friends, etc. as well." Between them, they get a crossfire going and tend to hit quite a lot of stories for not being what they insist the category should be about.

I prefer nonhuman. Simple and straightforward category definition ;)

Difficult category. Like Shanglan mentions, if you don't, I say can't, take the bashing then avoid. My friend posted there and got bashed, but silly him, posted again and got cudo's. Write for yourself, as a horse once said. :)

OK Tired now :)

I have 4 stories in loving wifes. Double the pleasure and double the pleasure 2 are ones I wrote early on in my lit "career" *L* and are simple "Look hubby I got my best friend to jump into bed with me for lesbian and threesome loving goodness all for you on your birthday" affairs and both did ok. No nasty feedback.

I have a christmas contest entry form the year before last "Elves help santa cum this Christmas" about a man and wife who go to a fancy dress party and end up in a threesome. That goes down well too.

The only one that doesn't is one that maybe should have gone into nonconsent as it's a rape fantasy type one, but it's kinda mild...that has a low score and no comments.

However all these were submitted in the category well over a year ago so maybe that explain why they've not been pounced on.

well so far anyway *L*

Well... I suppose I could take a little bashing. I've been reading alot of the stories there to get the gist of a "loving wives" story, I've been curious about them since. I do write for myself first... but it's a fantasy to write for that category... worth a try huh? :cathappy:

Go for it :) I find that the best way to deal with bashing is to develop some writer friends and find out what they think about it. If it's awful, they'll usually tell me gently (and often before I post, which is a relief); if it's good, their kind words help me weather less-than-stellar voting. Once you know whose opinion you value, the impertinence of trolls is of less concern.

I tend to write a story first then see where it fits.

I'm just on helping edit a story for someone else and thought that it fit very well into my idea of loving wives but I doubt that the loving wives readers would think so. No forced sex, no hidden sex, no cuckoldry. Just a wife joining in with her husband.
