They don't know how they did it.

I'm serious we're going to wake up one day... look around and all be ghosts... and there will be two harried guys in white overcoats who'll say "Well, you see we were trying to X and somehow we did Y... but to be honest we don't actually know how we did Y... or even what Y is... errrrrr... how do you feel?"

Sincerely,
ElSol

I'm just impressed they admit to not knowing, personally. :D

And you still have the gall to blame global warming on greenhouse gases.

i wake up dead alot. whos to say we're really here any way?
yeah yeah yeah
i think there foreskin, i am...blah be blah.
theres no solid proof that this isnt all a really funky ass dream.

i think once you get past super fucken hot...there doesnt really need to be a measurement
its like measuring below 0. who the hell cares. its really fucken cold.

Exactly.

You're just as dead at 10,000 degrees as you are at 3,600,000,000 degrees.

Pass the BBQ sauce ...

So they repeated it several times and it releases more energy than was used to create it? Suprised the energy companies let them go public.

Energy canot be created or destroyed. According to the law of conservation of energy. You can get more energy from an exothermic reaction than you need to start it, but only because more energy matter is converted to energy.

Plasma is quite dangerous stuff. Admission that they don't know how they did it, shows admirable scientific integrity. It should also scare the poo out of you.

The real thing that should have you awake at noght though, is that this lab is a government run agency. Carrotop, Captain Kangeroo and Mr. Ed represent a brain trust, compared to some of the beaurcrats I have met. I don't really mind dangerous experiments, but I do mind when the three stooges are the ones deciding what is too dangerous.

If you had ever been in a place where the temperature gets down to -40 or even -50 degrees Farenheit, you would not have made the statement about 0 degrees.

Yeah...

After you've been outside with a wind-child of -30... 0 can seem downright balmy.

Maybe she meant Kelvin?

They may be on to something here. They were looking to do one thing and may have discovered nuclear fussion. Maybe in the next couple years they may have a working prototype of a fussion generator. Just a thought.

Plasma is just matter so hot that it stops acting llike matter.

But whatever the reason (mysterious extra power source or energy from the liberated electrons) they said they were getting more energy out than they put in. They said they could repeat the process and get the same results.

It doesn't matter if it is the chanting powers of the zookalaki providing the energy. It should be looked at as a potential power source.
