If you're curious there are at least a couple of threads devoted to it on the forum using the search function. Not all wax is created equal - some wax has a fairly low melting temp, while others are are much higher and capable of burning skin.

LOL Very true.
First time I had wax dripped on me, I had the misfortune to be under high temp wax. Splattering oil is nothing compared to that.

HUGE suggestion. Get the right kind of candles..
The wax doesn't burn as hot, and it peels off the skin easily. The candles made by PartyLite are perfect. They're made with something else that doesn't burn as hot. Smell yummy, tons of different colors, and the wax comes off easily.
