"On the Job" Story Event 2023

I really wish we knew for sure, because I have a typo in my story that I'd love to correct, but I'm afraid to modify the story today, and then have it not go in the list

I did not use the spaces. But posted on the 16th.
I literally don't understand it then.

I finally got mine finished and submitted today. Hopefully I got the story in time, Melbourne Australia is long way ahead of Literotica in the USA so I should be okay.

@RetroFan posted this message AFTER I posted my story, and his made the list.

What gives?

I understand that. What is listed on the front page is different, and Laurel makes up the list, so her timeline trumps this thread.
I had no idea the exercise was announced anywhere else, beyond that different dates were given and not reconciled. OK if it doesn't happen today.

Thanks to HeyAll for organizing this and congrats to all who finished. I made progress on mine but had too much going on to complete it in time. I'm fairly confident that it will be ready for the 2024 event...or the 2025 event at the latest!

Keith's right if your story wasn't included. There have been several stories left off the first list for several recent events due to one issue or another and Laurel's been able to get it corrected in relatively short order.

If yours doesn't get listed, send an PM to Laurel. One of my April Fool's Day stories didn't make the list and all I had to do was PM her to get it put on the list.
I did, thank you.

Maybe she took issue with it being connected to another story?

But it's a stand alone story.

@Duleigh won a contest with a follow up story, so that can't be it, right?

Has anyone had a story get rejected for being connected to another story?

This is an author-organized event, not a comp. The rules are less onerous.

I’ve been told by the organizer that the final episode of a trilogy is fine for Geek Pride - another author-organized event.

That's exactly what I thought. I'm just trying to figure out why I was skipped.

Thanks for running this. It was fun. If I find the time, I might do a list of the jobs represented. I'd find that interesting.

Still no change, and still no response yet from @Laurel.

I'm in this awful limbo, where I don't even know if I made the mistake or not.

But I don't see how I could have missed the cut-off date
