You got a hit Brenda. Thank youPerfect - that is what this thread is about, not obscure stuff, or covers of famous songs… just good old American musicianship doing their thing.![]()
Something that always blows me away about Buddy Holly. I have been listening to stuff like this my whole life - including this song (my parents had a Buddy Holly album I loved). Listen to how cool he plays that Stratocaster… how did he work all that out? He obviously did not grow up listening to other guitar player who played like that. Really phenomenal!Another great one by him and I love the lyrics. And I cannot believe what they could do with just a 3 piece band!!!
Samual Jackson sings a bit of this song in Captain Marvel… and sounds pretty good!hands up for the girls of those times
MOTOWN!!!hands up for the girls of those times
I had this on 45… half the song was on one side, and the rest was on the other. And this guy wrote this song about Buddy, the Big Bopper and others:
So many times I could not count. One of my favorites while in college and a hippie.how many times did you listen to this song in the car?
MOTOWN!!!
That is a great vid - and I about fell over laughing at the white guy who doesn’t quite know when to clap… he got better but he clearly has no rhythm.hands up for the girls of those times
Reminds me of 8 tracks!I had this on 45… half the song was on one side, and the rest was on the other.
Pretty odd when a song has an intermission.![]()
