Here's my choice of oldies I miss hearing. We used to dance for hours in North Carolina with the best beach music.

That is an interesting viewpoint.

I do not think heavy metal killed good song, I think computer technology and synthesizers did. Or one could even say the music industry itself did.

“Heart” in 1975 was a rock and roll band. In 1985, they were “okay”, but way too synth pop to be taken seriously.

However, put it in perspective… they sold millions of copies of their 1985 offerings… likely more than their 70’s hits. (which were artistically far better).

So, in all fairness, the world turned to shit, and music has sucked ass ever since.

Hey Rj, I have been going thur the pages on here and before I leave, I have to tell you that you made me cry twice so far. First with the song I'm not lisa by Jessi Colter
and, second with True Love ways by Buddy Holly!

Both songs are so damn beautiful. Wiping the tears from my eyes I thank you for reminding me of both of them. Got to go. BTW I'm on page 275
