"Yeah, well, you weren't the only one," and she was able to say it now without blushing. She had decided just...to calm down. If he didn't want to act on how he felt, well, she couldn't force him. Try as she might, though, she couldn't dig him out of her system. She was beginning to think it would probably be for the best if she did - or at least friend zone him or something.
Resting her chin in her palms, she stuck out her bottom lip. Only in her head did she allow herself to be whiny. Her mantra since she'd really gotten to talk to him had been "It's not fair," because, well, it wasn't. He turned her legs into jelly and flooded her basement every time he gave her that smile. That son of a bitch. Was probably used to chicks falling all over him. She'd heard the locker room talk at the gym - and she definitely wasn't the only one that noticed him.
Although, she thought with a smirk, she probably was the only one that could vouch that he was big everywhere.
When he mentioned prison time, she didn't react. Taking the moment to take another bite of her pancakes, she looked at him. "And? So did my dad, actually. And my brother. Well, one of them at least. I know that prison time doesn't make you a bad person. People make mistakes, y'know?"
Sighing, she leaned back in the chair, setting down her fork. "Take however long that you need. I'll be there Friday."

The week dragged.
It was right before the summer break for the kids, so it was getting harder to keep everyone on track. When Friday finally arrived, Lily had gone home, completely exhausted. It had been an open house that evening, so she had to dress like an actual adult. Stepping out of her heels, she relished the feel of the carpet under her stockinged feet. Looking at the time, she fed the fish before disappearing into the bathroom.
Standing under the shower, she closed her eyes, turning her face up to the water. All week, she had wondered what he had done, why he had gone to prison. At the very least, it might help explain those muscles. Ooof. Her father had gone in for draft dodging back in his youth, and her brother, well, the less she talked about that, the better. The irony of it was that she was sure her brother would flip if he found out she was extremely interested in another jail bird.
Turning off the water, she wiped the steam from the mirror. He had asked her to stay the night - and she had packed an overnight bag, just in case. She felt silly - but on the same hand, she had a feeling in the pit of her stomach that she shouldn't be scared of him, no matter what he had done. If he wanted to hurt her, he very easily could have. He had been nothing but a gentleman, even when she was sure he could smell how much she wanted him to fuck her. That counted for something.
Not wanting to dress it up too much, she did her eyeliner, and stepped out of the shower. She had laid out a pair of jeans and an off the shoulder t-shirt. Under it, she wore a dark purple lace bra and matching panties. Purple was her favorite color, after all.
Biking down to the bus stop, she waited. Before long, the bus came, and she wheeled her bike to the rack in front. Boarding the bus, it seemed that it just took a moment before she was in front of his place. Hopping down the bus steps, she grabbed her bike from the rack and wheeled it with her. She knocked on his door and waited.
