Horny and single in Tulsa
Well, I broke up with my boyfriend about three, almost four weeks ago. It sucks!
I broke up with him for many reasons, one of which was distance. He lived an hour away and I know for most online (turned RL) relationships an hour is nothing. But for this single mom it's difficult.
I'm in school and dealing with three children. My boyfriend expected me or at least hoped that I'd come out each time I didn't have children. My ex takes the kids ONE NIGHT every other weekend.
On that one night I just want to collapse. Do nothing. It took real effort to get up and get ready then go all the way out to his place. Then to only get there and watch movies and not get enough sleep then rush home and suddenly have to turn on the mommy me again. It was exhausting.
Also there was the aspect that he didn't have a diploma. He was 31 years old (almost 32) and he hadn't gone out to get his GED yet.... only even thought about it when I started to ride his ass about it.
In the nearly year that we were together he had two jobs each one he lost, in a short amount of time. He's currently at a new one, but he thinks it's a matter of time before they fire him from that job.
I love him and the sex was good, but there's more to life than that....
A mother has to look at things from a financial point of view. What if this is a sign of things to come when you move in with him... or get married? I mean I fully intend to support and raise my children (that's why I'm currently in school), I'm not trying to find a man to support us or to even depend on. But I also don't want a man in my life that will be a financial drain.
I do feel like a made the right choice. An internet friend said that if we were meant to be together we'd find our way back to one and other. I still have feelings for him and perhaps if he can get his shit together (and maybe move closer or find a meeting place in the middle) we might give it another go.... I don't know right now.
Though I do miss the sex. I'm having troubles turning off the sex drive. I know eventually the sex drive eventually does turn off, but right now it's in overdrive.
(I won't do hook ups. I only do relationships so I guess I'm screwed.... well no actually I'm not)
It's overdrive because I'm not getting any. Though the good news is that since I don't know what to do with my sex drive, I've started to write a story. Perhaps in the summer (when school is out) I'll be able to post some more stories.

I'm sorry you had to end your relationship, but I think you made the right decision.
I've told all my online lady friends, that if a man is REALLY interested, he would pay the expenses necessary to get to them. I may be old fashioned, but I don't believe any man should be a financial drain. I just don't think anyone man is SO G.I.B. that he can warrant having a woman support him. Although I wouldn't mind having a rich red headed widow woman with big breasts be my sugar-mommy to spoil me, I don't expect it to ever happen.
I have a sister who has been married to slobs like that and wondered, WHY a half-way intelligent woman would put up with that kind of crap.
There ARE descent men in Tulsa. Most of them are probably taken, but the others are just hidden treasures. You really have to search for them. It isn't easy, but it is possible.
I hope you find your's.
