Just a follow-up...

Despite invitations across several boards, not ONE person who expressed online interest showed up. Both girls were there, looking VERY good, but nobody even tried!

I thought, "Maybe people are intimidated because I'm with them (a guy)," so I left and watched from afar for a long time. They sat at the front row, tipping and drinking, but remained alone.

I don't want to be rude, but I have to ask in cvase I'm genuinely misunderstanding these forums: is this a for REAL idea, about meeting people, or is it strictly fantasy and imagination, and I misunderstood by actually expecting people who said they'd show up, to show up? I mean, did I break a rule by trying to make a real-life invitation?

No, you didn't break any rules

The original intent of this board was just that i think. But it has turned into a semi-general board kinda thing. The personals board is a bit slower and generally has a few more newbies on it than the gernal board, but sometimes there is acutally a personal add up. However, if someone doesn't show up to a meeting, you can always try again. It helps if you aren't a newbie i think. People seem to trust you more if you've been here for a while and aren't just some pycho that is trying to pick someone up and rape them or something. Anyway, good luck trying to find some other people in OKC.
