Ok ...What did I miss?

For years when you would hit refresh on a page it would refresh the thread or the area you were..........then a few months ago when I would hit refresh It would take me back to the main page...................I would have to go back to where I was.....

Now today everything is back the way the started out.....If I am on general board and hit refresh I stay on general..........
Whats the deal? Anyone else have this happen?.........Did I miss a thread about this?????
