I liked it, for the most part, well acted, interesting, etc., but I can't say that I completely understood it.

Actually... my explanation is that it sucked. Sorry.

It started out OK and then got pretty lost. Don't even think Lynch new what the fuck he was doing, just threw some surreal images in and that's that.

He even fucked up what could have been one of the few good loving lesbian relationships ever put on the big screen.

Just a mindfuck? It didn't intend to make sense?

Well, that brunette was hot anyway.

It was built as an easy route for blue collar workers to take their families to the ocean on weekends.

Now ask me why Broadway is the only street in mid-Manhattan that isn't part of the grid?

i hated it ... the start of it was good but its messed up

i agree completley with dillinger the lesbian relationship could of been really really beautiful and natural it really annoyed me that he just screwed that up and chucked it in the trash half way thru the film

This is something I never knew before.

My friend who gave me a walking tour there last year told me, but I've forgotten. Tell me.

Okay, okay, I'll tell you... Broadway was a rambling path along a creek, and the street was built just as rambling.

I'll stop now.

Haven't seen the movie yet. I haven't wanted to because of everything you've all said.

the start of the film is very very good dixon ... thats what makes the rest all the more annoying ... but its still worth seeing :)

my honey thinks that we were watching the filming of a movie.. and that the party at the end of the film where the dark-haired chick is with the guy is the cast-party. The lesbian relationship, he thinks, is all just part of the movie within the movie.

I think it's just a mindfuck. I watched it about a month and a half ago, and I'm STILL confused.

It's a Lynch film. That's all you need to say.

I liked it better than Lost Highway. That's certain.

It has Lesbians in it..

Thats all we need to know!!

I haven't seen it, but I've had it recommended to me, People will say to me "Ohhh... I didn't really like it, but you'd probably love it". (I get this sort of thing because I saw that American History X wasn't about racism) I guess I'll check it out.

It sucked. It was truly awful.

This movie made it onto my very short "put that fucking thing back on the shelf and step away" list at the store. Yeah, that bad.

I feel so much better after reading this thread. All this time I thought I was just to dense to understand this flick. Going in I knew Lynch tends to make strange films, but I didn't get this one at all.
