I mean... it's not as if I've been trying to establish "relationships", still less anything as outrageous as "meet-ups". I'm only looking to discuss erotic plot scenarios with a view to gaining the female angle on things. Not a huge ask, one would think... but it is on Lit.

I kind of think you are somewhat "over simplifying" the process here ...

So ... in my experience, it has always taken a bit of concentration to get the stream flowing, and during that period of time, I don't think I could carry on the conversation. And then once the stream is flowing, you kind of lose control of it because it hurts like the devil if you try and stop it. So at that point -- while the stream is flowing you can talk since the bladder has taken control of the situation.

I just don't want you to think there isn't some "complexity" behind the entire process ...

Yes .. I would agree ...all things being equal .. but the advantage a woman has is that she can stop the flow without giving herself 18 hernias ... so then it really becomes a timing issue with the following question being at the heart of issue:

Can a woman stop her pee and pull up her pants and start to run faster than a man who can't stop his pee and has to wait for his bladder to empty before he starts to run?

There are lots of variables involved in this, including

a) how much pee the man has left in his bladder,
b) the volume of his stream -- you know as it gets older, prostate gets bigger, stream slows down
c) can he run while peeing? Does he really have enough coordination to do that?

This sounds like we could submit a research grant proposal to the government and get some funding to run a controlled experiment to answer the overall question ...

I hate the shit out of cynical responses like this. No offense to you personally because a lot of guys hold this view but it simply hasn’t been my experience at all and it makes me wonder why. My visceral reaction to reading your post is that there are a lot of embedded expectations about people's behavior in the post. What I find so fascinating about people in general (not you specifically) is how unaware they are of their implicit assumptions and biases ... For example -- if I were to post this question in a thread:

Q: Is stereotyping people something that generally has a good outcome or a bad outcome?

I assume most people would answer that it isn't a good thing, yet if you read through a post like this one, you can see how many implicit assumptions / stereotypes there are. For example:

"Most good guys have no shot ..."

Isn't that a broad assumption? Doesn't that say that you don't think the women on here have any ability to discern good vs. bad? And if you really want to go deeper, what are the definitions of "good" vs. "bad" when you are talking about individual personality preferences?

I would say the men who probably feel the most ignored here are the ones that come to the table with an agenda and a set of unrealistic expectations (stereotypes) about who is on the other side of the screen. And of course the folks on the other side of the screen are not going to react in a positive way if you treat them as an object that you are projecting your fantasy onto -- unless of course that's what they are looking for.

I'm just saying ... perhaps a bit more reflection and deeper analysis of the interactions you have here might help in terms of being able to modify the outcomes -- in other words, don't keep on repeating what isn't working if you can help yourself ...
