OK so i blew up my computer today

My apologies. When i deal with a Gordian Knot registry FUBAR (whether creatred by virus, or simple aging of the O/S), i save off data (usually just the web favorites) from the (first physical) boot (operating system) drive, remove encryption from the (second physical) data drive, remove said data drive from the computer, then nuke the boot drive. That involves a re-parition of the boot, a DoD wipe, blowing away the partition again, and building the O/S from scratch with NTFS. If a virus can survive that, it's in the cockroach league and leaves my AO along with the HDD.

How much would it cost to have you come over and do that for me?

i got taught the hard way a long time ago snooping in places not shown by the owner leads to bad times for everyone involved.

Let me know when you're ready to call Dell, and i'll provide the steps for you to use immediately beforehand to wipe the contents of that drive into non-existence ...

after you back up what you wish to keep on media other than the physical hard drive in question.

While it may be unclear from context that she included the Honorable Assassin in her diatribe, the plural would clearly indicate that she was thus naming at least the Honorable DVS and this counsel. Ack! Which of us is going to explain to her how to remove the HD, and send her an anti-static wrist strap and anti-static bag? Are you sentencing her, or me? (I mean, the Prosecution?)
