Sorry for the befuddling message! I'm a homebirth midwife. The "million" was an exaggeration. And no, I didn't have a million babies. I attended the births of several women over the Holidays. At one point we had three clients in labor at the same time.

I'm beat!

My two were hospital births - and because individual circumstances, I was excluded.

I'm neither pro nor anti home/hospital (the factors are too complex for such a simplistic judgement), but I'm glad to hear that the home choice is supported in your neck of the woods - and congratulate you upon doing your "million" bits.

I never considered the Wicked Witch of the West as seriously gorgeous.

The aftermath of that ice storm here is the devastation to the trees. I walked the dog at 5 and at 7 last night and listened to the sound of the branches as they broke and went down. I cringed at each one. Now we have a lot of 40 foot stumps. I'll have to replace four trees myself. It is really sad that some of these trees survived an F5 tornado only to lose slowly to ice.
