As for the topic of the thread.. simple solution - if someone starts to tell you something (gossip) you politely inform them you aren't interested in hearing. Considering when someone tells you something it's generally only from their point of view.. and most of us realize that there are more sides to a story. It also helps to not pass on information that you learn.. saves on a lot of problems in the long run really. Turning off pm's is a good way to start.. something that I myself, have done from time to time. *shrug*
