I'm crossing the desert Baja 1000 style because my destination is 11 miles away that way, and 25 miles if I want to take blacktop.

At the moment, I'm under 10 miles an hour because I'm trying not to dust out the small cluster of houses. Being discourteous in this part of the world generally has consequences either today or in the future.

Earlier, GPS must have assumed that I was in a light plane because it decided that I was going to cover the 5.8 miles remaining in three minutes.

Kind of digging the flat paint that I'm seeing on custom cars lately. When I refinish furniture I always go with satin finish polyurethane. I like the way it warms the wood.

Browsed a guitar shop today and looked at a three quarter size Martin guitar. It sounded beautiful but I just couldn't get past the satin finish. I don't think it looks right on a guitar, which is weird, because I normally like that on wood.
