Huddled in my little domicile, I finished reading a book. The sound of leaf blowers hadn't struck me as anything unusual because I figured my adjoining neighbor who is a landscaper was servicing his equipment. There's not much to do in our yard.

The sound of loud mariachi music didn't particularly perk my ears up either, because a locally renowned mariachi band practices next door. It's normally a 4 or 5 piece band so I was curious though where they acquired an entire horn section

I decide to head out to the mercado to get some food and walked out onto at least 40 people at folding tables, an inflatable slide with pool, tubs of iced cerveza and large speakers. Somebody's birthday party apparently.

My car is buried on the back of the lot behind a dozen cars.

That couple mile round trip combined with the three miles the other day to get a fuse for my car makes a grand total of 5 miles of exercise this year.

10:00 pm now, still going strong with the mexican version of oompa music. I'm going to have to find a translator and move some cars so that I can get out. I've got a friend that needs picked up or he's got a long walk home.

I dropped my friend home then hit a seedy club on the way home. Haven't done that in months. Was posted up near a back while watching the crowd and a younger guy sat down near me I struck up a conversation he was interested in a girl and was uncertain about the approach. I was working on a waitress so I had the waitress get the girls attention. By the time I left it looked like it was working out for him that was fun.

Grab the fish taco on the way home pull into the yard most of the cars are gone but somebody is singing. There's a drunk who has been sleeping in a lawn chair who woke up and decided it was time to sing at three in the morning.

I inquired as to his Health and Welfare but between my poor Spanish and his poor English we just decided to nod agreeably.
