Oh Que!

... I gave all my stuff away once...

:) It can be freeing, yes? I did the same once. Except for personal mementos and a few pieces of furniture, the local library, Goodwill, and Habitat for Humanity got all my things. A new state, a new start followed. As Que said, it's just stuff...

I once downsized drastically. Once you begin it can be liberating.

He sent me a message last week that he was not going to talk to me anymore because I do not always respond in a timely fashion. Fickle that one!

To be fair, that really isn't talking. ;)

I not only swooned, my knees got all wobbly!

I think, if I'd been standing, there might have been a little wobble. I'm still fanning myself.

I'm always looking for inspiration! Anyway, I can....

There's a poetry forum here. Perhaps some of the threads or challenges could help nudge your inspiration. :)

It is, and having lost everything in a fire once, and then giving everything away, I guess I can relate in some ways. I guess what bothers me is when I see all the photos that people leave behind. The mementos that seem to not matter.

Freeing for sure.

For the record, I can write better erotic poetry. Ex's imagination kinda sucks.

Can't wait to read some (hint! hint!)

And I am sure he didn't write it... just found a pic and sent it to me. It still made me smile.

I lost most of my childhood in a fire. :( I salvaged what I could, not much. I would give almost anything to have my yearbooks.

He didn't write it. Great chance that he found it on the back of a cereal box.

I am so sorry you went through that. I lost everything on Valentines Day, thankfully, my daughter and pets were okay.

I like your antiques! Do you really want to get rid of them???

I want to keep them, but there is a good chance they are going to be ruined if I don't.

I hope you make a decision that makes you happy. I love that couch by the way!
I was not talking about you when I said I did not understand the left behind mementos, I was talking about what I have found in the many places I have been.

I guess so. My guess is that he feels something for you-- and it's not just what's in his hand.

I think he feels his penis. ;)

Just clarifying. I've been there, too.

I walked away from everything except for my kitchen implements once pretty much against my will and never recovered any of my stuff. I'm such a pack rat I'm amazed I survived. Turns out that a fresh start is not always a bad thing.

5 years later my stuff fills 3 storage units, with some miscellaneous in both the bunkhouse and the aluminum can on the windy bluff.

I may just end up walking away from it all again. Found the shop today interested in my antiques.

Stuff is stuff, it turns out. I tend to get attached to it but it's silly because I can always find and buy more.

Nine years ago, I came to China with a large suitcase. Now I need a small truck to move the stuff I have accumulated since.

Oh and yes Jezz, the message from your Ex IS sweet lol!

I hope that everyone is having a spleduferous day! I have so much to do and so little rime to do it in! It is going to be a busy weekend for sure!

Someone tell me they have amazing plans for the weekend so I van live vicariously through you!

So busy is Jezz...she has no time even to correct the typos!:kiss::kiss:

I'm praying for a wonderful sunny day tomorrow.

Then the sports day will go ahead.

If it rains, the students have to go to class, and I teach.

I have plans. Their amazingness is subjective. Saturday is game night with some of my friends. Are you amazed? hehe
