The weather was too bad to garden, so we did some other things, including painting a ceiling. Now 'we ' are watching an old horror film in bed. Nicest bit is the snuggling, Gianbatistta, I, one on the cats, then the little dog are all cuddled up like spoons.

Edit: good luck with surgery. I always take wet wipes, though I never use them at home, as I am not keen on disposable stuff. But after a GA or if restricted its nice to be able to freshen up quickly and easily. I also take hand cream, stuff to do nails with ( not polish but file etc, because....its something to do and they get knocked) and a good body moisturiser, because anaesthetic wrecks my skin and makes me feel icky and moisturising afterwards feels like rubbing some life into myself, if I am able too.![]()
What's everybody up to today?
I am packing. I have to work on Monday so I figured I would utilize the weekend to get myself ready for the six hour journey north after surgery. The Doc said I would be feeling no pain due to a block on my leg that should last up to 12 hours, and he also said he would send me home with some good drugs lol.
I am not worried about the surgery. I have been through it before. I am more worried about forgetting to pack something important. I have clothes nearly completed, electronics, including my *toys* are mostly packed. Things to do while laid up ... check. Why do I feel like I am missing something?
Good luck with the surgery.
Feels like I walked 5 miles in my sunday go to meeting boots. Should have wortrack shoes. Birthday party for my 5 year old nephew at Chuck E Cheese's. The small one made at least two laps around the entire place in between each and every machine she picked out.
She was cranky on the way home and I pointed out that one slice of pizza was probably insufficient. She says, "I don't go to Chuck E. Cheese's for the pizza, I go there for the games."
No games for me today. I felt like I was coming down with a cold. I still have the scratchy throat, and a tiny bit of congestion, but I feel better now than I did this morning. No clue what's going on in my head now. Maybe all the zinc and vitamin C I've been using since yesterday is actually doing something.![]()

I hope the C is helping! Colds are so draining, they are the worst.
Finally in exasperation she tells me, " you are not very good at being a human."

We had to stop by a circle K at dusk to return a couple of movies to Redbox and rent another on. I already knew which one I was going to get. Sketchy neighborhood and I would rather have my hands-free, so I explained to her that she needs to sit in the car in front of the red box while I get the exchange done. She goes off on me.
This place is really good about shutting out light however the slightest glimmer of done and she's awake she always goes to sleep by 9:00 p.m. I knew I would need a second video and I knew that she would likely veto any of the second choices and she's already seen all of the choices in that machine. Once the videos home she would rather watch at the not touch you and was going to argue with me at the machine so I chose not to tell her what the second video was to forestall that argument..
She argues anyway about whether I should tell her or not and the fact that it doesn't matter that would spoil the surprise and she doesn't want to be surprised she wants to know what the movie is...

Oh, I'm laughing so hard!
I have to wonder: how many times have you heard that on here?![]()
I have to wonder, exactly what is her idea of being human?
The child has so much exposure to media that it's always a reference to something else but I have no idea what. Sometimes her siblings can enlighten me by explaining what she's been watching lately.
In context it was clearly meant derogatorily so it must be some reference to a situation where the aliens or robots were evil and spiteful.
Which are you? Alien or robot? I have my suspicions....![]()

Is funny.

Jesus! Looks like it's my job to clean up the mess in here after your wild party yesterday!
(Catchup again lol)
Is funny.
Elle
Yay! Then I do not have to do it!
Oh shit, I forgot you are the true professional on doing that round here!
She could have her own reality tv show.
Which are you? Alien or robot? I have my suspicions....![]()
Of the two, my suspicion would be alien.![]()
That explains the heavy D, better suited for a planet with a different gravitational constant.
Is funny.
