Oh Que!

At UW? Twist her arm. They're good there.

Yes at the UW I really have liked all my dr.s and I am sure they are leaps and bounds better than anything Ashland has to offer...the last time I brought my mom to meet my Dr she had a mastectomy and lymphectomy a week later because ashland misdiagnosed her...a tiny lump turned into two and cancerous lymph nodes when her Dr put her on hormones that contributed to the rapid growth of the cancer.

I fucking hate cancer. And misdiagnoses. My family has had plenty of both. It'll work out, Jezzi.

Ditto! Hi Dave.... and Jezzi!

Off to Hong Kong next week for a few days - the old visa run! Just in time to start at my new university on Monday 15th. Have yet to get a schedule. Have yet to see my classrooms. Oh well...

Thanks Dave! She is a strong woman but the body can only take so much and she has a lot of problems....several types of arthritis, edema in her right arm where the lymph glands were taken, fibromyalgia, apparently a broken back, sjogrens....it amazes me she does as much as she does.

The back problem (break) has probably occurred because of the severity of her coughing. I feel so freakin helpless because I am down here and she is up there and my sister is pregnant and she could not be around her because she could be contagious....fml!

NOW.....we were supposed to get up to 12 inches of snow and instead it looks like we will get 2.

That is quite a list of challenges. Gives me a whole different picture of her soldiering through a near all-nighyer at the casino. I can see where her daughter gets the never day die attitude. Best wishes for her. Hope you can get up to see her soon.

I guess I should quit whining about the 1/8 inch of snow this interrupting my current moving plans

Yeah, our problems and inconveniences sure do pale into insignificance compared to Jezz's. Oh and what's snow btw?;)

Thanks gypsy, she's my rock and I try to be hers.

Just out on the snow route. We got a few inches the. Rain. It's looking more like slingshot removal which means a long wet cold night rhinestone more snow tomorrow and the process all over

Packing and more packing

How is everyone anyway?

Hey jezzi, hope your mom will have the best possible outcome for her. Sounds like she's got a lot of challenges to deal with.

I just got back from an X Ambassadors show a little bit ago, so my heart is happy. My heart is generally happy these days, though. Life is kind of strange and wonderful.

I'm writing a bit more. A lot more actually. I decided to try a 30 poems in 30 days challenge, and that's proving interesting. I think some are decent, some are just awkward experiments. Part of the fun, though.

Oh, and I recently got a belated Christmas present: two adult coloring books, and..... a ginormous package of gel pens in a ridiculous number of colors. Of course, now I have to make decisions about which shades to use where, because so.many.colors!

Not too warm or you will kill off the yeast. I think yeast thrives at 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

Just as well I haven't gotten off my arse to do it then!:D

Actually the stares I am giving it in the bowl at my feet is making it rise.;)

ahh humidity...that explains the plastic wrap over the bowl.

I noticed the temp amendment. :)

I add a little milk powder, a dash of olive oil and pinches of sugar and salt too.

That sounds just right. I used to have a pizza dough recipe and then I noticed that it's pretty much the same thing as French bread. So I just use a French bread recipe
