Oh no! They are on to us!

Isn't it also a sin to judge others? I'm no religious freak, but all their practices seem hypocrital. I highly doubt that God (being that I'm agnotistic) approves of hatred towards anyone. I laugh at it and yet inside it truly worries me. They should have stuck with the normal definition of intolerant because that is what they truly are.

and in that asinine comic book it's been said that no liar will be saved!

Apart from being a BIG ignorant about most of the things he's talking about, how a paranoid is supposed to teach anything to anyone?

Using the Bible-even misquoting it- for his own purposes don't seem a very Christian thing to do.

And it's wiser to clean his own house before playng maid to the other's.

I wish many people would do their homework, before sayng anything.

Pathethic!

"judge not least thee be judged thyself"

Its in the bible (have no idea where), its in a metallica song (holier then thou)

isn't a sin, but not something one would want to do.
I remember that site, I saw it somewhere here or at some other board ... I got so pissed off I remember writing something really angry, and then deleting it, because really, it isn't worth the time to even look at.

::sigh::

I've dealt with this kinda thing firsthand. It comes from people that have lived very sheltered lives within extremely conservative/fundamentalist churches. It's all about ignorance. Anything or anyone not like them is automatically branded "the work of the devil." There is no desire to learn about the differences of people, only to condemn them as "not of God." This type of thing is what completely pushed me away from wanting to be a part of a church when I was younger ... and it wasn't even about being queer.

Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Its interesting the way that the cartoon implies that children 'naturally' believe that homosexuality is a sin, but school is teaching them otherwise... I am personally finding the opposite, my son has grown up around gay and bi couples, and just accepts that everyone can love anyone that they want... and he's learning to question that because of the bigotry around him at pre-school *shrug*

I guess with the whole religion issue, I've always felt that every parent indoctrinates their children with their own belief system, whatever that is. How can they not? Small children believe and mimic their parental figures in everything. But basically Christians believe that they are better parents because they indoctrinate their children with the 'right' things, everyone else with the 'wrong' things...

So far my son believes in God, but also in being non-judgemental, and I hope that lasts a bit longer. It was awesome going to Thailand last year, as he learnt about Buddhism and Hindu as well (his favourite thing was taking sweets to the shrine for Vishnu!). We had a lot of talks about how many different things people believe in, and that we get to choose for ourselves what seems right. At this point, he still likes to talk about God and pray to him, but he also accepts that other people don't believe that... it's a very cool age :D

Is it just me or did the adults in that cartoon look like walking corpses? And the teacher looked like a witch too. Very subtle imagery there.

funny things cristians say.

cristian number 1 - all sins are ecual in the eyes of god. stealing and killing and lieing are all worth the same. and god loves you all. that s why....

(5 min. later)

C#1 - homosexuality is the worst sin before god. god hates homos. that s why....

I had a maths teacher that looked just like her.

And did she bring 'evil homosexuals' into your class as well? It just makes me think of that terrible (in the good way ;)) South Park episode with Mr Garrison & Mr Slave...

Oh good grief. That's the biggest crock of shit... wow. By the way, I just love how they draw the gay guys as incredibly ugly, and with small demons on their backsides. I also love the diagram of the giant arrow leading from outerspace to the Earth (for the illustration of Jesus being sent from Heaven by God). :D

Well, I have to say that while it's obvious they are the intollerant ones, even going by their own way of thinking there is a serious flaw in their process of though. Check this out: It says "God expects a man to marry a woman and have children. Any other way is forbidden by God." And then it cites three different Bible verses to back that up. Now, I really have no intention of checking those verses to see whether they actually say what these morons claim that they do. I'm just going to give the morons the benefit of the doubt and assume they know how to cite things correctly. So... and get ready for this... assuming they believe, exactly, that "God expects a man to marry a woman and have children. Any other way is forbidden by God," then they have quite a few problems to figure out. First, that could mean God expects that men marry women, instead of just getting them pregnant and leaving, or fooling around with them and refusing to marry. That could also mean that any married heterosexual couples who are unable to have children are sinning. It could also mean that if you marry and choose not to have children you are sinning. It could also mean that marrying and having one child is sinning, as the quote says "children", and not child. But in any of these interpretations, it seems to me that the point is to explain the role of heterosexual relationships, specifically. In other words, it sounds to me like homosexual relationships are not being forbidden at all, but rather that heterosexual relationships are being clearly outlined. That's how it appears to me anyway. But then I'm not Christian, so maybe I'm missing something????

Reminds me of one of my most favoritest bumper stickers (which would be on my bumper if I owned a car):

"Dear Lord, protect me from your followers."
