OH NO! I lost my wallet....(ranting within)

I lost my wallet at the local grocery store. All that was in it was $80 and four starter/bank checks!

You know. Those blank checks that the bank gives you while you wait for you new ones. I am just sitting here waiting for the bank to open so I can find out what to do and IF I can still get some money even though I want them to freeze the account on those checks!

There are some good people out there that find things and return them to there owners..I found some money once and returned it...I keep thinking the person that lost it really needed it...But Still i hope everything works out for you..

Sounds like you were at least smart enough not to have it full of credit cards, pictures, etc. You'd think I'd learn a lesson after once having my whole purse stolen and going through having to get new bank cards, drivers license, credit cards, etc. Doing all that was a royal pain in the ass.

You probably have checked with the grocery store, but if not, maybe you will be lucky and have had an honest soul find it for you. Good luck!

i done something similar when i first got out of high school and started working.
i had just got paid and cashed my cheque and picked up the girlfriend and went to the local fair. we went on a few rides and when i got off the one ride and went to the other end of the fair grounds to pay a game, no wallet. i freaked. i ran all the way back to the ride and asked the guy if he found my wallet and he said no, but go and check yourself. i checked every car on the ride and when i got to the last one, there is was safe and sound in the corner of the car.

i hope you have good luck getting your things back MissTaken. there are some good honest people out there in the world yet and i hope one of them found your things.

I called the store, no luck.

I had no pics, just the checks, some $, my driver's license and a couple of MAXED out credit cards.

So my biggest worry WAS the checks....



Hooray for me! My brain must have engaged sometime this week and I found the blank checks here at home !

The rest is disposable, I just didn't want someone else to have access to my checking account!
