Oh Canada .....

If you denigrate, discriminate against and generally fuck over a group of people for a few hundred years don't be surprised if they have social ills.

You are an engineer aren't you? Just saying. :D

And when the Canucks have fucked it up royal and need the real deal, they come to me. I had a conference on a Canadian infrastructure project with a Canadian firm who needed help in my office, this morning.

I know a couple engineers that I would like to hang right now...they need help

More engineers?

Yeah, I just chastised a P.Eng. yesterday for doing a shitty job for his client in Rankin.

P.E., P.Eng., same shit, different governance.

Some good and some that cannot hammer a nail... as a young draughtsman, I learned that the Euro-trained ones actually had an IDEA about practical construction and actual utility...

Show me an engineer with knowledge and ability in the "mechanics" of his specific discipline.... HE's the one I'll hire.

I don't think those exist.

I've worked with a few. The younger ones tend to be wrapped up in themselves as cyber warriors, but once the P.Eng is out on the job for a few years, he or she often sees the light , in my experience. :D

Went north with young engineer. During dock repairs became apparent he did not know how to use a crowbar. Would have thought he would look at it and say, "This is a lever. I know how levers works."

Well, to be honest, you said engineer, not labourer

Used to be like that at Rancheria Yk (Mile 710). Bit dilapidated now but I thought it was part of the charm of a homey friendly place.

I remember Rancheria. Seems like it's been forever since I've been on the Highway.
