The shame is kids are dead and that is tragic. More tragic is like all mass shootings here the topic will not be about mourning the victims and their devastated families it will be about racism, gun control, PC, politics and whatever other agendas all the 'cool kids' have here.

Every thing becomes a platform to chest pound or whine here.

We're all here, alive none of our kids have been shot, just be grateful for that, send positive thoughts to the victims families and shut the fuck up.

I really have become numb to the fact that people with guns are randomly shooting people with no guns, and no longer care. These events on the news are now just a part of daily life.

Therefore I have no emotional attachment to the situation and can just deal with the analysis.

Are they now racist as well?

I said earlier that I'm "heartbroken" by the shootings. But it isn't entirely true.
I only said it because I didn't want to be misinterpreted or attacked by some GB posters.

While at an intellectual level I feel sorry and I can only imagine the horror of those victims and families… The reality is: there are so many mass shootings going on nowadays, that I became desensitized and emotionally detached too. And the same goes for so many tragedies and deaths that now occur on a daily basis, regardless of continent.

Absolutely true in my opinion.

I can admit it and own it. Not sure what it would take at this point to reverse that lack of core emotion and empathy for the people affected by acts (I want to say random but don't believe they really are) of mostly cowardice by people who have given up; however at the same time I'm somewhat hopeful that it will happen.

I gave up accessing CBC about 4 years ago.
This is a terrible network and needs to be dismantled and sold off along with their brothers and sisters at Canada Post.
