Well it is that time of year again. Time for March Madness. Is everybody ready for some brackets or what? I was thinking lit should start a tourny pool of some type. Is their another thread like this that I am unaware of?

So who do you think will be the national champion this year.

I am never good at determining this until the brackets come out.

I haven't followed ball all season. That's a first. :(

you're right, until the brackets are out, this is impossible to predict. Odds on would say Zona or Kentucky but as depleted as the talent pool is it would not suprise me to see a mid-major make the final four.

Well, if the national champion isnt Mizzou, it will be Kansas. And if it's neither of them, it will be Kentucky. And if it isn't Kentucky, it may be Arizona.

We're on the bubble again this year.........we're going to have to win our tournament to get to the big dance again this year. MWC

I watched mizzou last year and they have lots of talent!!

If you do a bracket PM me please!

sleeper picks

florida...

cal....

illinois...

I thought they meant some porno bracket.

Crap, foiled one more!

-holding lube and other assorted goodies-

what? no tailgate party?

Yeah lets talk about college basketball.

I think Duke might sneak by, people won't be as prepared to play them since they are having an "off" year. Kind of like UNC a few years back.

LOL, my team sucks!! No NCAA bid for us this year :(

NIT bound I hope, if they get their shit together.

I think little ol Ariz ain't quite so cocky since their cock just got hand picked and feed to them ;)

I am a Bruin fan and I AM SHOCKED....

all year they suck big time and now decide to beat Arizona?
I think Arizona must have been coasting to save energy and got trapped... I didn't see the game... but thats the only explanation I got...

Steven Lavin must be happy.. he gets to keep his job for another day... Heck he might even get through Saturday before he gets his hat handed to him...

A guy I work with has a son who plays for IUPUI. They beat Valpo the other night to win the conference & get the automatic trip to the tourney . So that's who I'll probably root for. And any of the Big Ten teams.

My team is probably going to go to the tourney for the first time in three years. It should be a great time.

There's no real powerhouse teams this year. Everyone's looked fallible.

However the brackets are laid out, you'd be wise to pick a Cinderella, run with it to the Elite 8 at least, and hope your fairy godmother smiles upon you. A team like Creighton has the potential to wreck the place, and I doubt any more than one or two of the top seeds will find their way to the Big Easy.

I like Kentucky, Syracuse/Pittsburgh, Wake Forest, and Marquette. But watch the hell out for the good mid-majors who've earned their way to the dance, not through an automatic bid, like Southern Illinois, Butler, and everyone's favorite Cinderella, Gonzaga.

TB... Isn't there a limit of how many years you can take the Cinderella designation?... Haven't they been the Cinderella for the last 6 years? 'Course I would love to see them win the whole thing.... ;)

I'll be at the local sports bar all day Thursday and Friday with my buddies in our annual drunken male-bonding ritual. From noon till midnight we'll be guzzling suds and watching four games on four big-screen TV's, drinking beer and eating wings and ribs and making disgusting pigs our ourselves. I love it so.

I'm rooting for Pitt, of course, but I don't know where the points are going to come from. They could hold the Dallas Mavericks under 70 points, but can they score?

My sleeper team was Marquette, who promptly lost in the first round of their conference tournament. There's a difference between "sleeper" and "coma".

LSU has been on a well-timed roll of late. Flattened Arkansas today in the SEC tourney. Not sure they've got enough to get far into the NCAAs, but I'll be making noise when they play.
