Off to bed thread

We've got just about every other thread in here so i thought that I'd try this one (if it's been done before - apologies to all and please dont kick the shit out of me).

It's time for me to go to bed so I thought it would be nice to collect all our "nite nite" things.

I'll start -"Nite nite and may we all be here in the morning" (my grandma used to say that to me).

For my daughter:

"Kiss goodnight..." as I kiss my fingertips and place them on her forehead.

"Sleep tight..." as I stroke the back of my first finger from her forehead down the bridge of her nose.

"Don't you let those bed bugs bite..." as I take the same finger and draw a semi-circle on her face. (starting on her left cheek (in front of her ear), under her chin, and around to her right cheek.)

I usually just say, "Well, I'm going to fuck off now."

When my nieces stay with me I have a few things I say:

"Go to sleep or I'll chop off your fingers."

"The monster in the closet is hungry. Sleep tight."

"Quit crying! The sound attracts rats who will eat your toes off while you sleep."

Or any variation I come up with at the moment.

Minx - u brought a tear to my eye. That's almost exactly the way I used to kiss my kids goodnight.
