They know he's reprehensible but feel compelled to support him publicly. It must suck to be you.

The smell of desperation hangs around miles like week old dirty socks.
And grows even more pungent with every passing day.

Is it the week old dirty socks that are hanging around miles, or the week old dirty sock's smell?
Because your post wasn't very clear on that point.
He can do no wrong. He can tell monumental lies like, because Jefferson owned a Koran and invited a Tunisian diplomat to dinner after sunset to accommodate his religion, he had the first "Iftar Ramadan" dinner in the White House and that Islam was part of the founding of America.
The only reason Jefferson had that Koran was to study their culture and gain as much information as he could so that he could use it to kick their fucking asses in the Barbary wars a few years later. He didn't give a hoot in Hell about Islam or Ramadan.
The man is a serial liar and fabricates historical falsehoods to support his agenda.

You are correct in that the establishment social elite have indeed presented us with a choice between two evils, one being lesser than the other. You are wrong however in characterizing the choice as intellectually difficult.
The differences between the two are stark and well defined. For instance, Romney is not an international apologist and does not seek to subordinate the political, economic, and military interests of the United States to the Third Word.
Romney, unlike Obama, understands that freedom is the real bedrock upon which our free enterprise system rests, not an oppressive centralized government dictating economic outcomes.
