Obama Repeals ObamaCare

They believe as long as government creates a bureaucracy where pinheads with clip boards can go to work everyday to try and make silk purses out of a sow's ears, that socialism works.

At least that is fair for everyone.

Why don't you move there and take your "Europeon" socialism with you?

Says the guy who supports a less effective, 2.5x more expensive option........HAHAHA fucking morons.

Do you enjoy the "stupid" option and trying to defend it or do you genuinely enjoy paying more for less just to "Stick it to the other team!!" for shit's n giggles?

Health care that is doomed to economic failure. Health care where everyone is covered but that no doctor will accept, without ratcheting up the communism to make them take those patients for a pittance in return. Health care bereft of free choice.

Never get tired of pushing that same-old alarmist bullshit, do you sissyboy?

Has your doctor quit accepting your Medicare, old man? Hmmm?

Except for the part where none of that is true

I live in a nation that actually has universal healthcare

I pick my doctor

and my doctor is very well off

repeating a meme doesn't make it true

in the begining there were alarmists just like you" communism! we'll be forced to take doctors against our will! it will be rationed down and lines will form!"

none of that shit ever came to pass, and now the guy that created the healthcare system is considered to be Canada's greatest citizen

I work at a health care insurance company.

Where are the gummermint agents?
Where are the socialist storm troopers that are taking the company's profits?

Still waiting, you ignorant RWNJ!!!

Why don't you move there and take your "Europeon" socialism with you?

And why don't you move to Greece and join the Golden Dawn movement? I know it's been years since you've been able to wear your jackboots in public...you could wear them every day over there.

Obama is quite the dictator isn't he? 14 unauthorized changes to the law, all by his banana republic self.

vette, can you point me to that list of changes? I want to see if these are regulatory changes or deviations from the legislation. I tried to google it and came up empty. Thanks.

What is the Republican solution then? Repeal of the ACA I guess is a given. Even if it was modeled after a Republicans plan.. So, Repeal ACA and then what? Go back to the Kaiser/Nixon model we have had for years? Or is there a plan Republicans have that will satisfy at least 95% of the health care woes that we face? ( I say 95% because I doubt there is anything that can make it 100%) I'm not all that thrilled with 'Obamacare', But I think that some kind of radical healthcare reform needs to be made.
Whats the plan?

That's why many of your countrymen come to America to get their health care. We are learning here that the government lied to the people. Their ideology was more important that any individual's right to hear the truth. Many are losing their plans, many are finding out they can't keep their plans, their doctors, their hospitals.

another tired old meme ..that isnt true either

yes, there are Canadians that go to America if they dont want to wait thier turn ( which is based off need, not money),

but did you know that so many Americans have been coming north for treatment here in BC, we've debated adding extra surcharges to American citizens seeking quality medical attention?

of course you didnt... Breitbart didnt tellyou that

did you know Sarah Palin received Canadian healthcare as a child, and some of her children have also recieved Canadian care?

did you know Canadian healthcare is something you can opt out of? that you can go pay for your doctor out of your own pocket.. guessing you didnt

did you know that our pharmaceutical business is BOOMING due to American citzens crossing the border to get the medicine they can't afford in the US

If you're really upset about how your healthcare system is now, you should have told the Republican party not to modify it over 100 times so that it wouldnt become the monster it is now

Yes, waiting 6 months for hip replacement surgery is just a minor inconvenience. Or 2 months for an MRI. Or being denied certain chemotherapeutic's that aren't on the 'government approved' list. Drugs that have been in routine use in the states for years.

Of course you can go to a physician and pay out of pocket, but it took a high court decision for that to even be possible. And nobody looks to Canada's research hospitals or labs for new and innovative treatments or procedures, no one. And no one discusses your shortage of physicians either.

And you have a small nation, population wise, that is relatively wealthy. Yet each election cycle you, and the UK, and other socialized health care nations, are subjected to inflamed political rhetoric concerning your health care system. Being promised this and that with not much of anything really changing. Each improvement here is matched by a failure somewhere else because there's only so much money to go around. The health care service routinely robs Peter to pay Paul.

Canada is NOT a model to be envied. As I said before, it works well enough as long as you're not really sick.

And a group of our politicians want to follow that model. They assure every one that their system will work because "we're the best and brightest and those Canadians are just a bunch of Hoser's." Looking at what they recently cooked up, and passed without any input from the opposition (not that that would make anything particularly better) I'd have to say that whoever was doing the thinking was not so much "the bestest or brightestest." The "Butthead and Bevis Plan" might have shown better sense.

Ishmael

I see Ish is still pushing the outright lie that Republicans had no say in the ACA despite the 150+ amendments put forward by the GOP which the Democrats included in the legislation in exchange for ZERO GOP votes.

That's what's considered "no input from the opposition".. over 150 changes to a law.

in America no one ever has to wait for surgery... ever

thanks for clearing that up

the longest I had to wait for surgery..was..hmm a week..mind you mine was life saving.. if I had a busted hip and a kid with leukemia needed treatment, i wouldnt bitch about the kid going first.. you would

but I'm a Canadian living in Canada and you're an American with an opinion.. so clearly I'm mistaken

and you';re right we don't have drugs that are on your approved lists.. but we also never had the drugs that were pulled from your approved lists, or the ones that are constantly beset in lawsuits every year..it's almost as if we want the bennefical aspects of medicine to outweigh the dangerous and the almighty dolla

Of course you can go to a physician and pay out of pocket, but it took a high court decision for that to even be possible.

Yeah, 30 years ago.. way to keep up with current events

And nobody looks to Canada's research hospitals or labs for new and innovative treatments or procedures, no one.

Unless it's cancer or AIDS they do... but hip replacement seems to be your focus of knowledge

And no one discusses your shortage of physicians either.

Yes they do, it's called the brain drain... why save lives here when you can go to the states and start up a rhinoplasty clinic for three times as much money

And you have a small nation, population wise, that is relatively wealthy.

G8 nation wealthy..one of the strongest economies on the earth wealthy

Yet each election cycle you, and the UK, and other socialized health care nations, are subjected to inflamed political rhetoric concerning your health care system.

From Conservatives.. weird huh?

they pull money from healthcare and then say..look, it's not working... weird how those two connect

Being promised this and that with not much of anything really changing. Each improvement here is matched by a failure somewhere else because there's only so much money to go around. The health care service routinely robs Peter to pay Paul.

Very true.. our Conservatives took money out of healthcare to spend it on the prison system and new laws.. something criminolgists of all stripes thought was downright stupid...oh.. and improving military spending and not dislcosing it till after the election.

Based on your oh so thorough knowledge brought to you by the Koch brothers

Well sweet cheeks, you do this to yourself every time. All I have to do is prod you in the right direction.

You cannot admit to a physician shortage, a severe shortage at that, especially in the Prairie Provinces and the Territories, with one breath and then proclaim that there is ample, timely, medical service available for everyone.

It's like saying that there is a severe gas shortage but no one has to line up at the pump. Or that there's a severe chicken shortage but there's a chicken in everyone's pot.

One or the other can be true, but not both.

And you fully admitted that your health care is rationed. And that too is perfectly logical and intuitively obvious. Anytime there is a shortage of anything that anything has to be rationed.

Thank you for playing the game with me.

Ishmael

News flash: Ishmael points out a shortage of physicians in sparsely populated rural areas is "proof" of teh failure of single payer medical systems.

And he begins with the cutesie misogynistic names..and he wonders why the right can't connect to women

You cannot admit to a physician shortage, a severe shortage at that,

because it's not severe stop listening to the Koch brothers.. I have three doctors.. there's just an increasing number of students going to the states after they graduate here...which is kinda telling that students get their degrees here and not in the states

especially in the Prairie Provinces and the Territories, with one breath and then proclaim that there is ample, timely, medical service available for everyone.

Dude, you can't even name the Prairie provinces... Alberta would have to be on that list..and trust me, the average janitor gets better healthcare then anyone in Texas

and as for the rest.. you're right... in a place with a very small population there isnt as much access to healthcare.. I can't imagine how those would possibly be linked as we know in all small farming towns across the US there are billion dollar hospitals.. at least 3 in each town I've heard....dumbass

It's like saying that there is a severe gas shortage but no one has to line up at the pump. Or that there's a severe chicken shortage but there's a chicken in everyone's pot.

Still avoiding the inherent point.. you keep pointing at the waiting lines as if somehow this were indicative of the failure of healthcare..if that were the case there would be no wating lines in a system that doesn't have universal healthcare

in order to show that our system ( which is flawed) is somehow inferior to yours, you have to show how a lack of basic coverage is somehow superior... and you simply cannot

One or the other can be true, but not both.

exactly..you cannot claim a lack of healthcare is superior to basic coverage

And you fully admitted that your health care is rationed. And that too is perfectly logical and intuitively obvious. Anytime there is a shortage of anything that anything has to be rationed.

It's rationed in the same way triage is rationed, dumbass...maybe one of your rambo buddies can explain to you what triage means

if there was truly no shortage in your system ; everyone would get treated.. and that is simply not the case...you're once again arguing no coverage is superior to having coverage

Thank you for playing the game with me.

a simple game for a man who doesnt know how to play..you're welcome
