Has anybody seen Cirque du Soleil perform O at the Bellagio in Vegas? I saw a special on it on TV today and it looks like an amazing show.

I saw Alegria at the Santa Monica Pier a few years ago it rocked.

Revolutionary

Cirque de Soleil has completely transformed the idea of "Circus". It had become somewhat of an anachronism. Smelly and cliched.

They took the concept and reformed it beyond belief. No animal acts, just gymnasts, stuntmen (and women), and artists. The only similarity was the big top tent in the early days but basically even that has gone by the boards.

The whole experience is now upmarket and thrilling.

I agree, Mensa. There is nothing like it (that I know of). I loved Alegria, but I'm dying to see O now.

Last time we were in Vegas, my husband nixed the $100 ticket price, but it looks so worth it.

Cheval and Mystere

When I was in Las Vegas for New Year's another Cirque production Cheval was playing at Bellagio besides 'O". I tried to get tickets but they were sold out. I have seen Mystere at Treasure Island and it was unbelievable! I liked it well enough to buy the soundtrack. If you have the chance, get a slot card from Bellagio and get your slot host to arrange the tickets...you'll get better seats that way...

I can't wait to get back to Las Vegas!

I saw Alegria just three weeks ago - the tickets were a birthday present from my SO. I absolutely loved it, though I liked Saltimbanco (which we saw about two years ago) better.

We're thinking of getting married in Las Vegas maybe this year or next. One of the big draw cards for me about a Vegas wedding (apart from no squabbling relatives) is the chance to see all the Cirque De Soleil productions we can handle while we're there!

Always wanted to get married in front of Elvis myself...

A friend of mine saw "O" and he's STILL talking about it! I was able to see the program, and it's just amazing how they combine story, music, gymnastics, acrobatics and water! He described it to me, but I couldn't even picture it until I saw that special you watched. Amazing!
