A simple post to gloat and share details I guess.

I had to share with someone because, damn, it's been a while.

*situation* Husband has NO testosterone, doc says it's lower than most 80 yr olds - due to past injury :(
Now we're on Androgel and he's back in the pink!

Felt like I was being felt up this morning, figured I was dreaming, got my neck nibbled on, started questioning it, had teeth hit my ear and a flick of the tongue.... OH YES, it was on and so was I.

GOD THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Let's just hope it's not a fluke because now my fire's been lit.

Now you gloat. ;)

There are some good things that come from modern pharmacy.
Congratulations to you and your husband.
It IS a good thing to be awakened by a good hard man shoving himself between your legs, isn't it ? ? :)

Thanks everyone. It's been a long, long battle.

I've been without for about a year and a half really.
We had sex a few times but it wasn't ... sex.

Just pray that it keeps working. I've got my own little hopes that it
gets him to "caveman" level so that he might pull my hair. LOL

After working with a doctor for 6 months it's finally gotten us here.
Through much self loathing, anger, doubt, suspicion. My husband and I
have made it through and hope to keep on keepin on.

Hope this thread gives hope to those in our position.

Have a great weekend and enjoy your partners. :)

I'm really really happy for you and your husband. How fantastic that must have been for both of you to have equipment "up and running"! I hope it only goes "up" from here....:D

Hi, do you mind if I ask you something about your husband's treatment? What kind of thing is Androgel, is it a patch or a shot? How long did it take to start working? Are there any side effects that you've noticed, for example has it effected his temper or demeanor? And how long will he have to be on it, will he have to take it permanently? And why did it take six months working with the doctor before you saw some results? Was he trying different treatments ect?

I ask because I have a pretty low sex drive and I found out I have slightly low testosterone (borderline really). I'm going to see a hormone specialist but while I wait I've been wondering a lot about what the testosterone therapy will entail and how long it will last, and what the effects might be in the short and long term. Obviously I'm going to talk about it to the doctor but I'm on a waiting list and don't know when that will be, and I'm really curious.

Thanks very much, and I hope things continue to go well with you both.

This is a serious question, I don't mean to sound insensitive or anything like that. But, I hear so much about sexless relationships, and I just wonder for other (guys) out there, is it that you are no longer attracted to your partner, or is the problem just physical?

I think if I had erectile dysfunction or something like that, I would still be always trying to go down on my girl etc. I guess I've always been curious about this because my attraction to women is always 90-100% basically, but some guys act like it's 10% and I don't understand why.

Heck Kirstie Alley was on Leno the other night talking about her various escapades and even though I don't normally find her attractive, I totally wanted to make out with her :p

I can't talk for all men but I'm sure if you're not aroused by your partner but other women turn you on then you've just lost interest.

As for the situation in which I/we had a sexless marriage it was all testosterone related. No interest whatsoever, porn, other women, heck even men (I throw that out there because I was curious about my husband for a while). My husband finally confided in me after ages of fighting and me being suspicious that I wasn't doing it for him and somebody else might be that he felt that his penis wasn't anything more than a "straw to piss out of".

If you wonder about your libido, you can always go get a lab test to see how high/low your testosterone is. It's just a tube of blood.
