Interesting article in the New York Times today about the history of autism (paywall free)

Autism has a had a long strange history, originally as a simple synonym for "childhood schizophrenia" until scientists actually got around to, you know, actually STUDYING it beginning in the late 1980s.

Autism is more correctly known as "autisms" since there appear to be a large number of factors in play here (tylenol and vaccines notably not included).

Still no "cure" for autism as of today. The scientific community for now is treating the symptoms, with wildly varying results.

Most of the tards here like the luks fit the classic behaviors.

“ Social isolation, educational and employment problems, anxiety, stress, bullying, depression, self-harm”
