number of votes on story going down

Dear all,
I notice that the number of votes on one of my three recent submissions is going down - from a high point of 16 votes it is now at 13 and falling. My 'average' is going in the opposite direction, climbing steadily. I hope that this story - the woman with the prized labia - is not heading for some sort of eventual software meltdown.
Is this, as they say, normal?

The powers-that-be here do fairly regular sweeps to eliminate multiple votes from a single IP. If someone (we call them trolls) voted down your story several times, the sweep would have wiped out all duplicates.

So. losing votes and going up inthe ratings is a sign that multiple negative votes have been erased .
