I grew up in a very liberal atheist household. Never went as a family. But nudity wasn’t a ‘hidden’ thing.

I think a nude beach should be just that and not clothing optional. Some people go to clothing optional dressed like it's winter to perv on exposed pussies and titties. I respectfully disagree. The kids are lucky in that they're not exposed to body shaming, so they take the obvious variations in bodies (gender, size, etc.) in stride as natural shapes for humans to have.
I don't know of a single kid whose life was traumatized by growing up around naked people. Do you?

I didn’t write that about taking my own kids to a nudist beach - I wrote that about a guy that had made a suggestive comment about my kids being “lucky” to see me naked (although he claims it wasn’t meant to read like that)
I’m a strong believer in parent not hiding their bodies so kids understand what real bodies are like.

Just home from 2 weeks at the Valalta naturist resort in Rovinj, Croatia.
Beautiful beaches, adequate facilities (it could do with an upgrade, some of it is a bit tired), lovely friendly atmosphere, good service/staff, great fresh food. I had a small apartment which was fine, there is also lots of camping available if that's your thing.
My second time in Rovinj, but first at this resort. I'd certainly go again.
