I broke up with my bf of two years on Friday. Before him, I was dating another guy. (Awful relationship) I am single now and ok with it. Actually pretty damn peaceful. I dont know what I am going to do about dating. Its been FOUR years since I have been on a date. I am only 22. I keep thinking...what if no one thinks im attractive! Ugh....Im so not ready for it yet...but im already worried! Anyone else been through something similar?

I'm 22 as well and also haven't had a date in ages.
This is a good time to re-evaulate everything in your life.
Don't worry about your looks and don't rush things.
We're young and we'll find that someone when the time is right.

I haven't been on an actual date in eleven years.


If I had a tip or any advice whatsoever to give to you, I would pass it on.

The only thing I can say is to just be yourself, have fun and don't think so negatively about others not finding you interesting or attractive. The one great thing about us all is that we aren't always attracted to the same people or things.

Good God! you're just a kid! You'll know when you're ready to "do battle" again. Don't let others - who have no right to expect anything from you - dictate your life.

GP is right. 22 is still young as hell. You still have your entire life ahead of you. No need to rush off, pop out a couple of kids and call it a life.

I didn't get married until I was 30....

Had my kid when I was 33...(with the wife's assistance I might add)

I'll be 51 when she graduates from High school....no biggy....
